Nobody can predict what would have happened especially last season when anything could and did happen.

In fact literally the ONLY predictable thing is Port going out in weak finals performances. Its the only thing in the AFL you can set your watch to.

The only thing that can possibly prevent a "what happen power" final is someone like Jack Ginnivan disrespecting Kenny and getting the players riled up.

I bet by the end of the preseason, at some point we'll hear the standard info from the club that they say EVERY year, there was some club that did something and was successful, so we're going to copy what they did. Usually we do it based on the premiers, but this year has a Hawthorn feel about it.

Nothing wrong with copying what the best do well... but our club under Hinkley and Koch has this weird sense of arrogance that there is nothing wrong with our methods

I actually can't believe Koch and the clubs takeaway from our finals series was "if Sydney just could've shat the bed with us like they did against the Lions"

Yeh Koch repeated the comment at the B&F and AGM. He actually believes it & one of us should have taken him on & explained how ridiculous his viewpoint was. We didn't & missed our opportunity to demonstrate how little he knows about football in front of his peers.

I love how we are so obsessed with copying the last year's premier. How many sides actually go back to back? The concept that you copy what was successful is so flawed. You need to be working towards what YOU think will be successful in the future, not what was.

You only do this when you don't have your own plan. So much easier to copy someone else but it never works.
