About time they were back to be frank. When was their last training session, about a week before Christmas? This is on top of the couple months they get off after the season is finished.

Semi pro athletes paid like full time professionals.

It's laughable that full time professional footballers getting paid on average over $400k per year would struggle to actually kick a football more than 200 days a year.

you guys are still taking footy too seriously and don't understand the new Port Adelaide, training hard in January is cringe, do you know how far away the season is?!

it's all part of the the AFL CBA, so every club is doing the same thing as far as leave and achieving the "work-life balance" the AFLPA demanded. They all get shit loads of time off.

Port Adelaide defender Lachie Jones says he is hopeful a trip he and fellow young guns Jason Horne-Francis and Josh Sinn took stateside to learn more about soft tissue injury prevention will not only benefit them but the wider playing list.
The Power resumed pre-season after the Christmas break for players on Thursday.
It was a light session for Power players, with the entire playing list bar Tom Anastasopoulos (knee) on the track.
Rigiouress testing will be conducted on Friday for the playing group.
Defenders Miles Bergman and Ryan Burton and forward Sam Powell-Pepper participated fully in drills after being managed prior to the break.

201 days would just put too much load on their bodies.... rolls eyes

Soldo will be in the Maldives by round 8, Sweet’s back will give way and Visintini will be an All Australian at the end of this season.

Haven’t really heard anything about the rucks. But I suspect Port will still only play 1 and it’s likely Sweets spot to loose.

I really rate Visentini (along with a lot of supporters) but where he fits into the ruck priority list is tough to tell.

The bigger question is who will be the second ruck if they only play 1 specialist. Finlayson was a liability last year, Dixon has retired, whilst I have more ruck talent than Ratugolea, Marshall and Lukosius combined.

Actually think Rats best position is as a Ruckman…

The media team was in hyperdrive yesterday, for a small little welcome back warm up day, and today when they were apparently doing all their testing and the like I'm yet to see anything?

It's a big testing day today so like all footy clubs they'll be total secret squirrels.

But here's a clip of Janelle Cuthbertson running.
