Buckley said that he was told Elliott would come off mid game and the bad foot would be black.

I'm not sure why people crap on negative stuff jounos report,

If he reported that LDU wanted to come Collingwood I guarantee everyone in here would be talking about it in a positive way.

Because I find it hard to believe that we put him back out on the ground after he told the medicos he couldn't feel his foot and it was black.

To be fair - now that we’re down the garden path - if it is a DVT, there’s a fair chance you need further tests to determine why. So in theory it could be thinners for a certain time plus the potential to extend it depending on what else they find.

More speculation on my part of course. But DVTs in young fit people are unusual and would usually trigger another array of tests for clotting disorders etc.

The intermittent claudication just fits the pieces of the puzzle we do have so much better.

A blood clot would honestly surprise me, because diagnosis is not that difficult.

We brought Mihocek back after 2 weeks from a hamstring.

I wonder if it'll even come out tonight. The boys have a 3 day break. They arent expected back until tomorrow morning.. would they even release one because of it?
Usually, the extended break sees certain emoloyees in the football department work from home as it helps to compensate for weekend work and travel.

So most likely, he wasn’t in at work today, hence no report.

I was on the pies board questioning Elliots vascular injury and saying I'd never heard of that happening.
I was shouted down called a nut and assured it was a common injury and he'd be back.(never mentioned vaccines or anything btw)
Turns out he came off at half time and couldn't feel he's foot. Docs inspected and he's toes were black.
Hmmm
I think Buckley was just taking the piss, he wouldn't come back on if he couldn't feel his foot and his toes were black

You really believe that we would've put him back out there week after week after we found out about this. Don't believe everything you read including what's coming from Bucks.

Maybe. I remember actually a player maybe Sylvia burst a blood vessel in his toe or something from kicking. Could be that.
Also I've had relatives with blood clotting issues. So that.
Poor bastard. Can not remember a more injury prone player

Maybe it was the dye from his sock? 😉

I agree, I'd find it extraordinary the club doctors would put a player back on the field with no feeling in his foot which had turned black. And not just once according to Bucks.

The Elliott injury seems to be something that happens with elderly people with heart problems. My father who recently passed suffered with something similar.

I cant recall any professional athlete having what Jamie is experiencing so I am guessing the good hands he is in would be baffled by it and also how to treat it which I guess means time and caution.

I think because it is so unusual you need to have optimism he will recover or they can come up with a solution. Christian Eriksen had a cardiac arrest and pretty much died on the pitch and then was playing again 7 months later. I think he is the example of why they need to be so cautious but also optimistic. It really is finding away for his blood to flow normally in the foot and with it his body.

Fingers crossed they can get Jamie up and running would love to see him play 200, torment Blues and Bombers again and get another premiership medal around his neck.

So you’ve just diagnosed him with a potentially life threatening heart problem?

What is it that Billy is experiencing? I've only heard the club say a vascular issue.

I don't get much, if any, inside info on the club but I was told he has a blood clot in his calf. If ever I was to believe anyone, it would be this person. Take it as you wish
If that's the case it's probably a DVT, which can potentially require several months of treatment with an anticoagulant.
Untreated, it can cause a stroke.
You certainly wouldn't want to be playing footy if you were taking anticoagulants.

I don't want to say anything in case I get sideswipped again by judge Judy

It depends on the following word. ‘Talked’ is very often followed by ‘to’ so there’s probably an elided ‘t’ sound. Stand-alone, I believe I pronounce them with a final ‘d’. Spelt is just spelt. There is no ‘d’.

Now that's American.
