“Sean consulted a surgical specialist yesterday and we have decided an arthroscope is the best course of action going forward for the long-term health of Sean’s knee” said Executive General Manager of Football Joe Brierty.

Can someone whos knows about knee stuff explain exactly what this will do? I assume cleaning out debris or fragments to ease irritation and pain?

If we can manage to get a full season into Darcy and pre-season coming up I think we'll see him get back to his best, there's no reason he can't.

6-8 weeks before running. He needs to exercise extreme discipline in that period. Watch the calories and hit the bike/swimming/anything cardio related. This is literally the bare minimum, and if he is serious about this club, he will do it with no complaints. He has all the club resources at his disposals so his future is in his hands.

just saw it and spat the dummy its embarrassing and questions at the club need to be asked where are the high standards

Tbh I didn’t realise it was quite that bad! Dont want to be a body shamer but a professional athlete making that much coin should not be in that condition.

He all but said Sean knows he needs to take this offseason seriously and make sure he stays on the park. He was quick to add in "he works really hard" but it was a damage control statement after the fact. Hodor has had a talking to I reckon, it's purely up to him to figure it out

The bloke in my small avatar looks as fit as big Darcy in n the recent picture. He really needs to get himself conditioned.

Come on guys, I know hes not in the best shape but hes fully sticking his gut out there. This is from two weeks earlier.

Yeah like, come on man...

I knew he was big but that is some blubber skin folds for a professional athlete. All comes down to diet. I don’t run as much as I used to but I hit the gym and have cut back on calories and replaced with protein and that fat just melts off.

Whilst recovering and won’t be long before he is back walking he needs to have a diligent dietary regime.

He needs to get serious basically.

I didn’t even go looking for that picture the club posted it in the injury report from 3 hours ago. It looks like the recent starlight game. He is out of shape.

He had a seriously disrupted PS but needs to get on top of his diet. The extra KGS have not helped his knee.
