2024 Ladder Prediction

I genuinely think anyone in around the top 10 or so could go close.
A 4 or 5 game winning streak could catapult any side into top 4 calculations and therefore a better chance.
I don’t buy into the concept of ‘pinching’ a flag, but this seems to be a year where just about anyone is gettable.

We’ve been Fremantled so much we’re conditioned into a certain feeling. Our best definitely stacks up.

Stay healthy. Score better from turnovers. We’re as good an argument as any top 10 side.
I agree but I think we actually need to score better from stoppage not turn over. We are the best stoppage/clearance team in the comp but something like 13th for scoring from stoppage. We need to make that our absolute strength.

Can’t believe I’m saying this, but better for the death ride if the blues can get ahead of port Adelaide by beating the bombers this week

Better for our ladder position too, sucks to barrack for the Blues but what’ya do🤷‍♂️

I must admit Essendon, Geelong and Port is the least whelming 2nd-4th I can recall in some time.

I honestly think we can win the flag this year. The team is growing before our eyes yet still completely off most 'experts'' radars.

100% AGREE. There is something realllllly realllllly special about this group. Someone said on another thread this year/group is giving them 2012 vibes and I am 100% feeling it also. And if we get Warner this year hollllllly shhhhitt. I’m getting super excited.

I said this to my wife last night. I have a feeling.

I've been saying since we got married 10 years ago that if we make it, I'm going. And I already have to come back for a wedding in November sooo it looks like some air miles are on the cards.

That was me and I stand by it.

This year feels like something special is unfolding.

To be playing the way we have without Cox, Darcy barely able to string 3 games together and Chapman only just returning to form after a very long layoff is very exciting, just keep building and we are in with a crack, the “why not us” has never been more realistic.

So how did everyone go predicting the ladder this year? :drunk:

Turns out the only 2 teams I predicted the exact finish for were Fremantle 🤦‍♂️ and North Melbourne

Of my top 8 prediction, 4 teams actually made it in the 8.

I really thought Geelong would bottom out hard, but well done to them.

Here was my prediction:

2024 Prediction
1) Brisbane - My prediction to be 2023 Premiers. So hard to beat at the Gabba, so they'll again be up there
2) GWS - Super impressed with them this season. See them being really hard to beat at home and will be a force in 2024
3) Collingwood - still young and hard to beat. I wonder if they may lose some of those 50/50 games but will again challenge
4) Carlton - Still young and improving so would expect them to stay up, as long as they dont get ahead of themselves
5) Sydney - Can't write these guys off. Young and improving and with no Buddy, a bit unpredictable which is a good thing
6) St Kilda - Another pre-season under Ross, they'll be competitive. Injuries critical
7) Adelaide - Were close in 2023. If they can fix their away games they'll be tough to leave out of the 8
8) Gold Coast - have to improve under Hardwick and i think they will.
-------------------------
9) Essendon - Could easily be in the 8 and will be much tougher under a full pre-season from Chris Scott
10) Fremantle - Who knows!
11) Melbourne - I think they'll tire and slide. Still super talented but i think the heartbrake of the last 2 finals series will get them
12) Port Adelaide - Super talented, should finish higher, but I worry their big guys are getting on a bit.
13) Richmond - Unpredictable with the new coach but may need to re-load
14) Hawthorn - Could finish much higher, but in a similar boat to Freo with being so young
15) Western Bulldogs - Who knows. So talented, such a gun forward line, but i worry Beveridge has done his time there now
16) Geelong - Age to catch up. Still super competitive but may need to re-load
17) North Melbourne - Could easily finish higher. Definitely much more competitive.
18) West Coast - Won't be the easy beats and will upset a few teams but hard to see them getting off the bottom.

Here's the final result:

2024 Final Result
1) Sydney
2) Port Adelaide
3) Geelong
4) GWS Giants
5) Brisbane Lions
6) Western Bulldogs
7) Hawthorn
8) Carlton

10) Fremantle
11) Essendon
12) St Kilda
13) Gold Coast Suns
14) Melbourne
15) Adelaide Crows
16) West Coast

Oh sweet Summer child, are you new to this? 🤣
Is your name David King?

Pretty good otherwise.
It’s hard to get a good tip at this.I had Freo scraping into the 8 so unfortunately yesterdays result hurt my predictions
