Our segment on First Crack was a bit odd TBH. King gave praise to our defence and they introduced some footage to show how well organised our back six are, only to then dedicate the rest of the conversation to how bad Adelaide’s ball movement was without elaborating at all on, or even mentioning, our back six’ positioning apart from that we forced them wide.
It's fine we don't need them to identify what we're doing great.

We can swoop in from nowhere and pounce leaving them feeling purple come the end of the year.

Do you think this is because he read the Shinboner article (that we all read before the game) about Adelaide's ball movement. He'd have to being a former north player.

You know, this one:

That's all well and good, but we could have really done with Hambling still on the list after Cox and McDonald went down
If you can’t see the benefit of Draper getting a game over hamling you should watch more games. More importantly if you watched Davies yesterday playing for peel yesterday not only his game but his direction to others Joel has taught them well. I hope Joel has a great season for Sydney but his injury history was only worth year to year contracts

McDonald wouldn’t even be on your list if Hamling was.

Recruiting/holding too many genuine depth players and players that are older but still only almost up it is how to eventually be like West Coast. It doesn’t take as long as you think either.

Without a debut for Draper you don’t know how good he is. Not does he look decent depth ATM but he shows best 22 quality for a few years time when Hamling and McDonald will be retired/delisted.

Tbf Adelaide deserve every piece of criticism they get.

They were supposed to be a certainty to make the eight from many but almost look like a bottom four side ATM - And the bottom two look like they’re going to be borderline historically bad (I think North falls somewhere between Adelaide and West Coast/Hawthorn tbh) so there isn’t much room to be that sh**e.

I don't think the post was meant to be taken so seriously. They were continuing on the joke about Clark being spelt with an "e" by then making a post spelling Hamling with a "b"

Yeh I don't have a problem with Hamling going. He needed more opportunity for his career longevity. But I didn't like his parting shots on the way out the door. He seemed blind to the fact we stuck by him for so long to rehab him and other players had passed him.

Hamling was very close to suing the club for the mis-management of his injury. I agree to wasn’t great his comments but don’t think he feels he owes the club anything.

Heard a rumour years back that Hamling, Kersten and Bennell would (all mates) due to the mismanagement of their injuries.

Kersten has never set foot on a footy oval since his injury and delisting.

Most of the time it’s basic list management to move on 30+ year old depth players tbh.

Only reason he was needed and why McDonald was needed was between 2016 and 2021 we didn’t draft a single KPD. Even that would’ve been fine if Logue had stayed but realistically we should’ve had a 21-23 year old KPD on the list.

Hamling and Kersten were mates before getting to Freo.
Kersten in the G rated words of my itk is a complete flog.
