IMG_5981.jpeg IMG_5980.jpeg IMG_6003.jpeg I swear if these two had a baby… you’d get Luke Jackson.

Retro round yesterday. Not sure I enjoy it.Gotta say some of the gear looked tacky. But being one that had been "THERE" and still there "NOW".
I thought that maybe some would enjoy this.

Phew, glad that’s over.

JL‘s regular interview with him on Ch7 was as stumbly and bumbly as I’ve ever seen him.
Still not sure how he's still so nervous in these interviews. Been doing it for years but it's all the same.

People can make up their own minds from the transcript if they can handle a few umms

Fremantle will not be going hard at the draft in the post-season as coach Justin Longmuir puts his faith in developing their existing list.

After making it to the semifinal last year many expected another finals run but the Dockers have endured a horror season languishing in 15th place after their 16-point loss to Port Adelaide on the weekend.

Last year a big off-season saw the likes of Luke Jackson and Jaeger O’Meara brought to the club but the coach expects a far less busier trade period next year.

“I don’t expect much change if any, we’ve had a lot of change over the last year in particular, with our playing list and over the last couple of years with our coaches and staff so I think it’ll be more about stability rather than change,” Longmuir told 7NEWS.

Tom Emmett made his debut for Fremantle against Port Adelaide on Sunday.

“There are a few things internally that will change some personnel around but there’s no real desperate need for to bring someone externally at this stage.”

The Dockers coach instead challenged his existing players to work harder in the preseason to get off to a better start next year.

“The offseason is going to be about making sure we get as many fit players returning as fit as they can and then making sure that we’re really planned with our preseason focuses and with our training to make sure we maximise the preseason,” he said.

“We’re a pretty young squad and we need to make sure that we maximise another preseason to hit the ground running in round one next year.”

His comments follow what was one of his most honest assessments of the club’s season on AFL360 in which he said he hoped having to watch finals from the sidelines this year “burns the players.”

“It’s been a frustrating season from the very start, and we’re going to look on really envious to the finals this year,” he told AFL360 on Monday.

“Hopefully, it really burns the players.

“We have got to make sure this is not a lost year. I think we took a step back with our list and our age to take a couple of steps forward.

“Early in the year, we didn’t handle the expectations and played it really safe and unwilling to take risks.

“We’ve just got to make sure we review the season really well, and we look to take those two steps forward next year.”

Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir has promised to dedicate plenty of time to improving the Dockers’ kicking inside 50 over summer after their 16 point loss to Port Adelaide highlighted the class difference between the teams.
Port Adelaide won 11.8 (74) to 8.10 (58) and the Power’s classy and explosive midfielders set the tone for the day with Zak Butters and Jason Horne-Francis having a big impact, particularly from clearances. Fremantle had six more inside 50s but couldn’t turn those opportunities into goals.

What our F wit coach and plenty on here don’t realise it’s our fukcing slow ball movement up to our fwd line that disrupts our fwd 50 entries.

THE SLOWER THE BALL TRAVELS UP THE FIELD TO GO I50….LETS OPPOSITION DEFENCES SET UP AND GET NUMBERS BACK TO FORCE MARKING TARGETS WIDE.

The games we’ve won have been more frantic ball movement to our fwd line. This ****ing coach nfi.

It isn't only that. Sturt was open in a lead up on numerous occasions and we ignored him. When we did go for the lead-up target we missed it because of poor foot skills. We also are incapable of kicking to advantage, almost always to the best side, height, weight for the defender. Our kicking for goal is also very ordinary other than a couple who are consistent set shot kickers. We also piss fart around with handball in the forwardline because no-one has the confidence to take the shot. Lacking skills is a big part of our problem and it stops us scoring while also giving the ball back to the opposition hence we are being scored against on turnover. The bandaid against that, against Port was not to give the ball back, slow ball movement ,because they were too quick and skillful on the outside. So we have a skills problem and a midfield problem. And it is mainly the same players.

That is why you need to drill ball movement into the players every day of the preseason. That is what Port did.

Don't worry fam. Only 13 ish more games until we're finally rid of this bloke at the bye next year.

I dislike him as much as you, just gotta ride it out.

"Jackson and Serong were among the top players in the voting, with Jackson fourth (included in 83 per cent of teams)"
Almost a fifth of teams though Thilthorpe or Sampson Ryan were a better ruck than Jackson :drunk:
Adelaide and Richmond fanboys lmao
