I’ve sorted the slogan and artwork for next year’s membership. I thought it was important to sum up the last few years in one catchy sloganView attachment 2106985:

The Medusa

What a sorry tale and intriguing story of the artist who used cadavers from the Paris morgue to practice his painting. The real life painting is huge in size and incredible to look at.

Maybe the new slogan should be
All is well put Trust in us with a picture of McDonald on it in caption NMFC captain 2025 .

The Pogues wrote a song ostensibly about that painting a few albums after that one.

Its kind of pertinent.

"Our 18 clubs do an incredible job of continuing to drive the passion and commitment of all our fans.

"On behalf of the AFL, I would like to thank all club members and every fan who attended a game this season, your loyalty and commitment is the cornerstone of our great game.

"We have such a great month ahead, with the AFL finals, AFLW season underway and community footy finals all around the country."

Gotta remember, you pay your $1200 / $1500 at Coll.or * you get a crappy seat at the MCG or Marvel in the nose bleed section. And your chance of getting a G.F.seat if you make it ? Around 12% maybe.

North ? $700. Plush seat level 2 at Marvel ( less games l admit ) And if we make a G.F. ? Chance of getting a seat probably around 30%.

Some benefits.

l would say better seats but not "plush" You dont even get a cup holder...

So about 400 down from last year.

Not a huge drop, but a drop nonetheless.

Was only a matter of time before people started to get fed up. Next year should be interesting. I know a few who have been members for decades and won't be renewing if our captains aren't changed.

What membership numbers do not show is the average membership spend per member. I have quite a few friends who have dropped their memberships down a few rungs rather than let it go all together.

Luckily it wasn’t more.
If this club was a professional well run unit which we not I be saying to Clarkson we need to improve the club with the members/Supporters and give him 3 options.
Option 1
Take the power away from the players to appoint the captain.
Option 2
Come out after the draft and name Parker as captain if he comes with Sheezel as Vice Captain for 2 years then Sheezel takes over.
Option 3
Make Sheezel Captain whether Parker comes or doesn’t with Wardlaw vice captain.
At least with option 2+3 at least members/Supporters might be given some hope we are trying as a club to fix things which hopefully helps us retain members and get supporters to re join or join for the 1st time.
But if they keep it the same and things go bad to worse I can see a surnami of members dropping off and with Tasmania not far from joining the competition this club will need to more $$$$$ up then Fort Knox as we will be losing sponsors and supporters.

30%?? I am pretty sure it’s a guaranteed GF ticket

Would be great if our club did something like this, instead of the boring and predictable work the phones approach. We already have the cars from Mazda to ferry the players around, so get out there, knock on some doors, and make a real difference to long term fans who have supported our shit show of a club for year after year.
