Georgia had the bye and Texas played UL-M and Texas gained 10 more 1st place votes, Texas also took 8 coaches votes off Georgia. But Dawgs are still on top of the coaches poll.

Today in conference realignment.
Gonzaga to the Pac-12 as a non football school
Utah State to the Pac-12
Tulane, Memphis, UTSA, USF all commit to staying in the AAC

Air Force being talked about for the AAC.
UNLV and San Jose state looking at their future both might be Pac-12 bound.

There was talk UNLV would of been in the first set of new Pac-12 teams announced a few weeks ago, but Nevada is the same school board so you need to take both or pay Nevada to not take them [like the UCLA/Cal situation]

Isn't Gonzaga just rumours?

The problem is, the Pac-12 doesn't want the shitty football schools, yet the shitty football schools are generally the stronger basketball schools, ie, New Mexico/Nevada.

The top 5 football schools would've been
1) Boise State
2) Fresno State
3) San Diego State

daylight
4) Utah State
5) Colorado State

6) Wyoming
7) Air Force
8) UNLV (But look to be building)
9) Nevada
10) New Mexico
11) San Jose State
12) Hawai'i

Yet, from a basketball perspective. It's
1) San Diego State
2) Nevada
daylight
3) Boise State
4) New Mexico
5) UNLV
daylight
6) Utah State
7) Colorado State

8) Wyoming
9) Fresno State

10) San Jose State
daylight
11) Air Force

We obviously need 1 more to even be a conference. And with Tulane/Memphis/UTSA saying no, it'll have to be MWC (Sorry, but the idea of USF sits wrong with me. I dont want to be involved in a conference which spits in the face of college tradition like the BigTen/ACC/Big XII and arguably SEC have become - At least SEC has remained regionally based......arguably).

Push for UNLV (Maybe that is an announcement for 5 weeks? Apparently, the NV Governer election is this year, current governor is UNLV alumni, while the ex-governor running is UNR alumni - So do it then and dont let it be a political issue)

Then i would go for 1 more (I'd rather 9 or 10 playing everyone once). I think New Mexico/Nevada from a sporting perspective are equal. But New Mexico is better from a tv market perspective.
Grab Gonzaga for basketball, and maybe get Saint Marys as well (Though, would they need an arena to replace the current gym?)

Boise State, San Diego State, Utah State, Colorado State, Washington State, Oregon State, UNLV, New Mexico and/or Nevada is a decent football conference and obviously the #5 in America. But add Gonzaga/Saint Marys too? The above is the top of the MWC and was already a 4-6 Bid league, that could easily maintain or even surpass that.

It sounded Gonzaga is a done deal but not announced yet.

But now the Pac-12 are taking the MW to court over the contract when they need to pay for poaching teams.

I feel kinda sad for thr UNLV kid. He is getting whacked from everywhere but also if it is a NIL thing it's his own making.

I hope he comes out and just says why. What promises were broken or what has caused him to walk away from the team if another school as contacted him.
But if another school has contacted him its a violation, but I guess there is no violation if a booster or NIL collective contacted him. Which just opens the black/grey marker NIL deals even more.

Georgia haven't lost a regular season game since 2020 🤯.

49-2 recent record, with both losses to Alabama.

Probably the biggest college game in September that I can remember.
It's not as big as it would feel 12 months ago because of the new playoffs system. 2 loss teams will make it, before if you had 1 loss your season was on the edge now you are good till you get 2 or 3 if you are in the power 2

It seems like it is all NIL. The is a rumour he told the coach he wants another $300k and was told no.

If this is true it lends a lot of credence to the NIL talk.

That changes my view. So I deleted a earlier post.
But there is also these

This is what you get in an unregulated market based on verbal agreements or non legally binding signed agreements

Promised 100k not paid when he brings it up they counter with 12k. I wouldn't be playing either.

If that happened at your workplace to you. You would be quitting then calling in sick for your notice period.
