Teams would definitely trade for Parsons. Diggs and Dak are questionable though because not sure anyone would take their contracts
Much like Lawrence you'd have all the teams named above clamouring for Dak. He's a top 15 QB whether people want to admit it or not. He's just a playoff gagger unfortunately. Poor man's Lamar. 😀

Moneyball doesn't work in the NFL. It only works when you have 3 starting pitchers like Tim Hudson, Mark Mulder and Barry Zito. Without them the 2002 Oakland A's would have gone 40 - 122.

I meannnnn, to be fair:

-scoreless in 2nd half vs Steelers (lose)
-scoreless for 3 quarters v KC (lose)
-give up game winning FG to Cardinals in last 2 mins
And they tried hard to lose yesterday with their lead and lack of O output in the second half.
Short memories - Justin Herbert was playing with syndesmosis of the ankle for the first 6 weeks of the season. In the 3 losses, Herbert still managed to have his team ahead or tied after 3 quarters in ALL 3 games until the injury became too debilitating for him to lead the team to victory.

A fully fit Herbert all season and the Chargers are very likely to be undefeated.

Next week's Monday Night game against the Baltimore Ravens will be huge, with the winner a big chance to claim the 5th seed and a wild card game against the Texans.

Even with that contract? He may be a middle of the pack QB but he doesn't deserve to be paid as the best, which with a salary cap sport, severely handicaps the rest of the team. If I were an NFL GM, unless I had a top 5 (maybe top 10 but unsure about that) QB, I would go with a rookie and spend money everywhere else on the team and hope the rookie is decent so there's a chance at a SB, like 49ers with Purdy

Jets, Browns, Steelers, Titans, Raiders, Giants, Panthers, Saints, Seahawks, Rams... Ok maybe not half but there is 10 who absolutely 100% would.

Dolphins and Colts probably would also if they were being honest.

You've listed a whole bunch of teams that have absolutely no chance of being able to afford him given their current situations.

Youre not going to find Purdy every time, particularly in the late rounds.. Remember the Niners tried doing it with Lance originally. Niners should have won a SB with Jimmy G who was worse than Dak and he was getting paid well for what QBs were at the time.

Of course not, but that would be the plan. You can't win paying lots for an average QB in NFL as rest of the team can't overcome their short comings due to lack of $$$$ to go around

95% of the population was saying the same about Stafford not long ago.

I tend to think you have a QB capable of winning the SB, or you don't.

Dak isn't worth the money he's on, let alone the draft picks it would take to get him. I think I lean more heavily toward the approach that if you don't have a SB-capable QB, keep looking. There shouldn't be anyone prepared to trade for him, and I really doubt there would be on his current contract.

Some of the best QBs of the past 10 years havent even got to a superbowl let alone won one. If you swapped Dak with Goff do you think the Lions would be any worse off? Do you think the Cowboys would be better off? I think wed probably be saying the same thing about both teams.

Id take him in Carolina in a heartbeat.:grinning: In fact I think he'd be ideal for Canales' offense. (price dependant of course, im not paying 3 firsts for him, id do our first this year though 100%)

That just sounds like you haven't seen much of the Lions, the Cowboys, or both.

Goff is a top 5 quarterback this season, he can't stop scoring. Prescott would've been lucky to crack the top 20 QBs before his injury.

The notion that Prescott could've done what Goff has done this season is crazy.
