Those TO worthy plays from Williams are interesting, and a lot of those sacks are self inflicted i.e. abandoning the structure and running into trouble. The "bit time throw" rate isn't exactly eye popping either considering his play style risky (turnover worthy) throws are high.

Matches up with the tape. I still think hes being too heavily critiqued. USC being complete garbage meant he had to play more hero ball. Had far less IIRC the year prior.

Still, hes a risk (like all QBs), there are parts of all these QBs games I dont like. Just a matter of if he can harness the need to try and do it all himself constantly, wont get away with that in the NFL.

For a guy who was a high turnover worthy play rate he only thru 5 picks for the year and 10 over last 2 years.

3 of his picks this season came against notre dame when the usc OL couldn't block anything and Caleb was running for his life all game. His OL was pretty rubbish pass blocking this year and his receivers outside of Tajh and sometimes rice they weren't the greatest, they had good patches but were pretty inconsistent with their route running. He also had horrible coaching and don't talk about the defense which might of been the worst in all college football.

Well, there goes my super flex dynasty strategy of "draft whichever QB Washington pick coz Ben Johnson will be calling plays"

Johnson is allowed to call plays how he does because of lions having best OL in football he wouldn’t have that at Washington he’d have a bottom 2 OL it just wouldn’t be the same play calling plus lions have 2 quality backs compare to Washington none. Same for te.

He uses motion and misdirection really well too, its far more complex than drop back and let the line block. Best in the business imo at calling the right play against down and distance and defense hes facing.

Unless he changed his mind he is staying at Colorado. but i would of had a day 3 grade for him. and prob a 5th/6th round.

But hard to get a good gage on him with how bad the Buffs OL played, but under pressure he wasnt great when the 1st read was taken away.

Didn’t declare went back to school smart decision on his part likely 5th or 6th qb of the board this year.
Top 4 is clear with Maye, Williams, Daniels, Penix.
But Nix, Travis, McCarthy and Pratt with possibly Milton above him too.

8th-10th for me.

JJ McCarthy and JT Daniels.....the name John is also a good one

Any J name is historically good, except Jamarcus.

JJ is a double J, bodes well.

3. JJ McCarthy
4. JT Daniels
5. Jordan Travis

JT Daniels isnt playing anymore. He was forced to retire from concussions.

He struggled to really keep healthy. USC he did an ACL, Georgia i dont think he ever started, West Virginia i dont remember much, Rice he looked ok but couldnt stay healthy.

Hate to dispel the theory but I’ve had to endure in my fandom

Jim McMahon ✅
Jim Miller ❌
Jim Harbaugh ❌
Jay Cutler ❌
Josh McCown❌
Justin Fields ❌
Might not have been superstars but all pretty ok. I'm still high on Fields, reckon he'll blossom somewhere else with a better OC and QB coach.

Jason Brown looks ok but a late rounder. Has some moxy, gunslinger, but limited starting experience
