Very interesting draft board. Think QBs go top 2 with Chicago and Washington then its open to lots of different scenarios and trading. Pats in a good spot to trade back if they dont want to take a QB that high. NYG, Atlanta, Denver and Vegas (maybe Minnesota too) all potentially looking for a QB and to move up.

I am starting to come around to the top 3 picks (with trades) being Caleb, Maye and Daniels (Daniels will test really well at combine so that will push him up) due to too many teams need QB's then MJH at 4 (which could also be a trade spot). So uncertainty will begin at pick 5.

With Chargers I think OT because WR is deep in this draft and OT depth isn't as good. Should be able to get quality WR in 2nd to go with a Stud LT in first where as you won't be able to do it in reverse.

He really should of stayed in school mid 3rd/4th rounder

Don't think he is getting any better.

And don't think hie ego would let him return. But that will take a smash when he finds out he isn't a NFL player

He probably assumes his stocks will never be higher. Might get himself a career as a backup QB somewhere if he is lucky.

I won't be surprised if he goes in the first round.

QBs are always overdrafted because the pay off is so great if they hit (combined with teams wanting a 5th year option on them).

Lots of teams this off season need a QB. A supply and demand issue will see QBs such as Penix, Nix and McCarthy all possibly go in the first round given that the first three picks are likely to be QBs.

Bo Nix is a better QB then JJ. and both should not be 1st round picks.

Nix age works against him.

Maye, Daniels and Williams top 5 picks Penix in the 20s is how the 1st round should go.

Look at the top 15 picks in the draft. Chicago, Washington, New England, Atlanta, Minnesota, Denver and Las Vegas all need QBs, whilst the Giants, Jets and Tennessee could all throw a spanner in the works and go QB as well.

It's why I expect an absolute glut of QBs to go early this year. Where they "should" go is irrelevant because team need will supersede that.

Would the bears even want to go Caleb Wiliams with his best work being on the run or broken plays wouldn't they want a more prototypical passer in Maye after Fields. So if that's the case they could trade down with Washington at 2 who would want the Caleb cos his a homegrown boy and accumulate more picks and still get a new QB.

Is this the biggest sign i am wrong when it comes to Caleb and Bears. You wouldn't be looking at Kliff unless you had caleb in your sights and want someone he is really comfortable with.

Did a little watching, Vwrsus videos, of Williams, Maye, Daniels, and Penix.

First impressions...

Daniels and Penix I like best. Reckon theyll immediately hit the ground running in the NFL.

Maye has a tendency to unravel in unclean pockets. He might end up one of those prototypical tall pocket passers who falters in the NFL.

Williams is talented for sure, but he scares me a lot. Can't stand the moving around all over the pocket, scrambling left right back and all over to extend plays.

That's the popular big footy opinion, such a sheep 🐏 GG. 😉
In my own observation I see it that way. So if the consensus on BF is that, and it aligns with left-field GG, then there must be substance behind it.

To elaborate/repeat a little....

When I see both Daniels and Penix, I see NFL-ready 2020s type style and technique about them. Most offenses these days are short to mid, slants, hitches, outs and ins, RPOs. Those two consistently fit that style. They're quick and decisive. They look the part extremely well in that style. Daniels has the added dual threat ability, and quite devastating at it. Penix has better throwing touch and accuracy.

You don't see either running around behind the LOS like idiots.

Williams also fits that modern NFL offense, but he just has runs around far too much, like he's trying to win the Heisman on every play Manziel-like. It's a trait that's hard to teach out of players at the next level.

Maye is pretty damn good with a very clean pocket, but he unravels when it's dirty. He can scramble forward well, but he's a pocket passer by trade. Reckon he'll be found wanting at the next level due to that unraveling.

Daniels probably ends up the best of the bunch, big time star stats. ROTY.

Penix will be a very solid QB. He'll have a decent career without flashing all kinds of rookie QB records like Daniels will probably get

Williams in three years will be talked about like a Fields, say.

Maye in three years will be talked about like a Zach Wilson, say.

I am the exactly the opposite in my view of prospects.

I would rank them
1. Maye
2. Caleb
3. Daniels
4. Pennix ( would rate him above daniels if not for injury history which scares the crap out of me)
