An ASICS leak has suggested we'll wear a retro jumper for the R21 match against Melbourne. It was always going to be celebrating the 70th anniversary of the 1954 premiership and we've gone with a minor jumper change with the added collar, 1954 premiership cup and older logo.

Here is the jumper for our upcoming retro round in R21 vs. Melbourne. It was always going to be celebrating the 70th anniversary of the 1954 premiership and we've gone with a minor jumper change with the added collar, 1954 premiership cup and older logo. Dying to see this in a long sleeve.

Weightman might do the long sleeve

Weightman might do the long sleeve

Weightman or Lobb are our best bet, of our current listed players, the following have worn long sleeves...

Bedendo (VFL)
Bontempelli
Daniel
English (VFL)
Gallagher (VFL)
Lobb
Naughton
Ugle-Hagen (VFL)
Vandermeer
Weightman
B. Williams

Boo! You select few hate to hate, I like it! At the very least we get a rest from the atrocious White strip design from recent times, we Honor the 54' Premiership and I personally get a kick out of the Bulldog waving the flag logo.

Same goes for our current away one. Why can't we just have a normal red collar with the hoops for our home and just invert the colours as we did in 2017-2022...
The 2020-2021 guernsey would be almost perfect if if was just a normal collar instead of cutting off at the front the way it does. Although, I personally prefer a darker blue than the current blue. The Bob 300 special guernsey is perfect, minus the floppy collar imo. The current away strip is diabolical.

Ah it's nice to see a Dogs guernsey without a 2 inch toilet seat wrapped around the neck.

Our current guernsey is the worst one we've ever had.
Under Asics our jumper designs have gone in 2 season cycles, so based on that we should expect a new kit next season. No telling if it would actually be an improvement though.

I get the milestone it’s just not that interesting compared to others considering we wear the 54 design since 2014
Agree, not sure why we don't commemorate the 100 year anniversary of our win over the Drug Cheats to become Champions of Victoria in 1924, although it is rumored that the Druggies started their cheating ways in that game by betting on the result and deliberately loosing.

You’d think they will celebrate entering the league next year with a retro round version of the first VFL Jumper.

If we want to attract and keep top players on the list we have to pay for it somehow.
Yes, fair enough. Each to their own though. I prefer to make more direct donations.

I think I'm just cynical about rampant commercialisation and excessive consumption (mostly stuff we don't need). It's so hard to avoid it though.

The 2025 home jumper will likely only have minor changes with the likely addition of a heritage logo for the 100th anniversary of joining the V/AFL and hopefully the return of the red collar. As for the away jumper I've seen nothing but negative feedback, so hopefully we return to the old one.
