I haven’t seen much of him play recently so will take your word for it, although Erasmus has never been “fast” if he has out on weight it could have affected his running.
He's not as bad as Henry, but he doesn't seem to 'read' the play as much as others. He does put in 100%, but his build probably holds him back. I like the idea of him going to Peel to develop more grunt but I hope it doesn't make him feel deflated.

Tabs in the forward line is essentially the stund utensil, he takes the biggest defender and leaves Amiss to run amok.

Tabs: just lead high and be a target. No pressure for goals, just create space for Amiss.
Tabs has been a game-changer for us, when he isn't injured. He is capable.

The North game would be a good time to blood a new young KPD. Looking at their list they are not stacked with KPF. There is Larkey ( a goodun ) and then some largely untried players - ColemanJones, Will Dawson, Comben and Bigoa Nyuon.

So, at least young Draper will be lining up on a player with similar experience. He is not going to be asked to mind a Charlie Curnow or King,

Mind you, now that I have said that, its London to a brick that one the players above will play a 8 goal blinder.

He has never had explosiveness off the mark, or pace. I'm not convinced you can build these at 21. He strengths in his draft year were his ability to hunt the ball, his endurance and his overhead mark for his size. (which we haven't seen a lot of so far).
Looking at his junior highlights he seemed lighter across the ground than he is now. As someone who was slow I disagree that you can't improve your speed to a degree. He only needs to improve it marginally. We have probably set him up to be an inside mid physically but we don't have a place for him.

Awesome!

So Walker for Worner?

Draper for Oscar.

Who for Cox?? Not Voss as not debut announcement. Assume jager and play small. Or could it be Tabernator (pls no)

It will be definitely be a tall as JLo was pretty strong on having three talls to make sure we had at least two in the forward line when Treacy goes into the ruck and Jackson to the bench

Firstly, I hope you guys don’t mind me commenting on your thread.

Erasmus was new to football. He was always more of a cricketer. I think he didn’t have time to develop game sense of a Johnson.

That adds to my argument that he is inside mid who will struggle in a different role.

He was a terrific forward at colts level

I wonder if Fyfe will be subbed, given they are taking JOM and Brodie. I think there is a fair chance and I dont mind it given his history at the stadium and he was quite tired last week. JOM could be in for Cox and Brodie in for Ras or alternatively Tabs comes in for Cox and JOM comes in for Ras. Either way I think Nat gets subbed this week, especially if we are comfortably in front in the third.

You could be right as Fyfe apparently played his heighest game minutes for a couple of years last week. Wasn’t planned but given the injuries he had to stay on when Young and Banfield went back

See I'm not sure if you can really say that. He's played 20 games so far, which is probably slightly down on a player entering their third year but not by much. He has had opportunities, just has not been good enough to grab them so far - which is understandable given his age.
I didn’t look at his stats when I said that. He’s had 9 games where he has started as sub & 3 games where he was subbed off out of 20.
He definitely hasn't been given the opportunities, but I’m not saying he should have. He hasn’t looked off the pace in his time on the ground & has got his hands on the ball.
Given a descent run where he can settle into a position, which hasn’t been the case, I suspect he will become a very good footballer.

All good to hear your comments about Erasmus, personally think you are right, he doesn’t really have another position apart from inside mid, he’s been trying to adapt his game to a medium forward/mid, but hasn’t overtaken Banfield or Emmett yet, so can’t get a game there either, if he has the patience, Fyfes spot will become available in a couple of years.

my heart tells me he will end up in blue and gold :(

He was a terrific forward at colts level

He played an outstanding game as an underager in WAFL colts GF 2020 as a half forward.

At that stage he was looking like he’d be available to us as an NGA.

His stocks sky rocketed when he moved into the midfield in the beginning of his draft year as a mid/forward who was an inside mid who can go forward due to his strong overhead game.

I’d say I haven’t seen his overhead game at AFL level, but have seen his midfield ability at WAFL level.

He’s currently being kept out of the 22 as a forward by Bailey Banfield. Make of that what you will.

that's how Banners has developed as well, and why he should be playing full games

I’m not sure how this would work.

I can’t see us wanting to deal with Freo while he is contracted.

I’m not sure how a player who goes from one club to the other could walk down the street and show their face in public. Can’t imagine it would go down well.

It’s a small town.

I was trying to remember if this has ever happened
