I thought Corey W took his chances, but think about it, he was brought in at the very worst time of the year, when the whole of the rest of the team was crapping the bed. His first game against Brisbane he got 16 disposals, 10th most in the team and most on here thought he was pretty good. It could not have been a more difficult game to come in for. Then he gets the Dogs on song, gets 13 disposals and an important goal. And finally he gets thrown in to last weekends debacle. Not his fault but Longmire scapegoats him.

His replacement Cleary will be a decent player in time but the last time he played he was anonymous. He has issues with his disposal and in my opinion is a downgrade atm. Corey should be playing.
Corey should stay in the team imo, but Cleary's last VFL outing was very good, after decent form in the lead up.

I'd have had Hanily and Sheldrick in before him, based on positional needs and Gus being a bit more of a crash and bash type, but he deserves a recall.

He had a full debut several weeks ago and went completely unsighted. It was very disappointing and now makes me hesitant about him.

None of the VFL youngsters have taken their chances this year. I thought Mitchell was downright horrific in his debut and Warner keeps looking not quite good enough for AFL. Sheldrick can't even get a game anymore. McAndrew has completely disappeared. It's kind of worrying just how thin out depth is. There is literally no one to get genuinely excited about in our reserves.
Not sure what game you were watching.

Cleary "debuted" as sub and played 20% game time. He was then made sub again the following week and played 29% game time.

I'm still excited about Sheldrick. He's shown that he can become a very good inside mid. Just hasn't had much luck with injury this year

I would have liked to see Corey W play up forward tonight.. Who's going to kick our goals? McDonald and Armety have done nothing for weeks and Hayward is proppy. Need a fire starter who can zip around and crumb the packs.

And now the purveyors of probability are backing the swans in hard at $1.40 v $2.88 for the pies.

You see, when the business end of the season rolls around everyone knows we’ll respond.

It’s not a must win tonight for top 2, don’t want them to go too hard at risk of injury.

Maybe we do go hard and win or maybe we decide for another bruise free week. Personally I think we’ll go hard then rest/rotate next week and maybe final round.

Another arrogant post proudly brought to you by JHWF.

From unpopular opinion overload to wild optimism to borderline trolling. I for one am interested in where the next JHWF arc goes.

Correct. My blood pressure is high enough as it is let alone without the Swans causing it to go higher.
That was the only positive with knowing the result so early last Saturday. You could relax and just watch for good passages of play, players doing the right thing, instead of stressing.

At least in theory you could look for that stuff.

I ended up watching the Mandalorian out of my own personal welfare 🤣

Of all the questions leading into tonight, perhaps yours is the most insightful.

JHWF at his core, is a contrarian. When the crowd goes one way JHWF can be found heading in the other direction.
JHWF is also a pessimist, if you want optimism, then JHWF is yet to show it.

JHWF also deals in facts.
✅ Top of the ladder
✅ Overwhelming favourite tonight both in media and with the purveyors of probability
✅ Tonight is not must win for a Top 2 finish.
✅ Bruise free footy now is premiership winning footy later.
✅ Looks like we were in a training block after all
✅ Nobody has offered to sell me their GF tix yet

So for all the bellyaching over the past 2 weeks, facts are facts.

We remain on top and the team to beat.

Where JHWF goes - that I can answer.
Straight to the MCG to pick up the Herald Sun swans premiership poster.

It's no so much where but how long it took for you to get there that is more important.
