Victorians being very upset about what Ken did is so precious.

Like nobody gives a ****. Stop taking yourself so serious.

From the loveable old grandpa who is unfairly victimised, to public enemy #1 in the space of one heartland fairytale going up in flames.

Reminds me of when Robert Walls, Arden Street and the Geelong Advertiser had three litters of kittens because Tredrea bowed towards his own fans.

Antics, cellys, sh¡t-talking and general dishing it out is only permitted if you wear one of ten accepted guernseys.

We had more free kicks, probably got more holding the balls in a game ever and the only two contentious frees were the sling tackles. If the shoe was on the other foot we’d want frees for that as well.
The clear out of bounds not paid (and then eventual duck) that got them another one?

My god how good was Jase. Totally redeemed that dismal effort last week, he was a class above tonight, would be close to his best game for the club given the enormity of the Occassion.

I loved our medium defenders tonight in Logan Evan’s, Jase and Sinn they all defended bravely and took the game on offensively
For Jason Burgoyne to bounce back from his game last week was remarkable.

I know it helps that we showed up mentally, but the selections were so, so much better. They allowed us to play how we like to play.

Sinn look really assured and Jase moving a bit further back had probably his best game yet.

The forward line with DBJ and Marshall back looked so much more balanced and dynamic. I know I've been critical of Esava and I know he still didn't trouble the scorers, but he seemed so much less stagnant, getting around the ground and getting his hands on the footy.

We just need our mids to realise Dixon isn't there anymore and to lower their eyes. Hitting a leading Georgiades twice in a row to start the 4th was incredible, like a real forward line for the first time in memory.

Sweet was an absolute warrior. That chase down to force Chol into running too far when he was already out on his feed was spectacular. Terrific game.

Hodge " That was pretty disappointing from Hinkley"

This coming from someone who tried to ram Wingard's head through a goal post.

He is also kissed Buddy in the 2014 grand final. Nothing more arrogant a man could do. I usually like Hodge but he was clearly just bitter with his Hinkley comments tonight.

So I haven't read anything written on the game day thread or on this thread, been a busy family night. And I thought I would barrack against Port 2nite as I hate Ken with some passion. But our club has existed since 1870 & blow ins will come & go but the mighty Port Adelaide will exist forever. Job well done boys, made me proud tonight.

Also why I don't have a problem with players doing celebrations after goals.

Australian rules culture hate on players celebrating for some reason and I have no idea why.

The umpiring was fine.
Technically many were, but geez they got everything that was even close, in front of goal no less.

Even the nice little shepherd by the ump on Bergman to allow Sicily the space to kick a goal. The clear out of bounds not called and costing a goal. The Sicily snap that was touched by Boak (I just watched the replay, it was touched, should've been overturned). Bad luck everywhere.

Just got smashed with bad luck, and those final misses from the Hawks were probably a bit of karma.

I was probably a bit harsh on Rozee in the other thread. Like I said I'm a big fan. I just bristled at the whole "sticking it up the doubters" type rhetoric like they didn't just deliver an insipid performance that warranted criticism.
Thought he was OK tonight.
Had 8 tackles. Many on the board have seemed to ignored that. (Whilst praising others for the same total)

Is part of "Hok" being the first team in 10 years to lose a knock-out final to Kenny's Boys™?

I can't help but feel from Rozee's post match interview that was our grand final. Why was he so surprised they copped heat during the week after a fourth straight deplorable finals performance. Where was the 'we were being criticised and deserved it'?
He was underwhelming for me, when is a bloke with his immense natural ability gonna play a blinder in a final.. make it next week or cry me a river over "outside noise".

Awful take.

We had more frees because our pressure was through the roof.

5 of their first 7 goals were via free kicks. It gave them a sniff and turned the momentum.
