there's no hurry. just needs to get his body right for September with a few games to get in form so he can play the grandie and get his medal before retiring (Crawford style). Ras to get games and we get an answer one way or the other in the meantime. He earnt the chance for his efforts at Peel.
Funny you mention Crawford, that's usually my reference point for Nat as well.

Switta most like for like.

Suspect he could replace Sturt (in a different role) but not Freddy.
I'd be happy with the Switta swap, but only if he isn't performing. I'm still a big Switta fan.

I'd hope not Sturty, I want a full uninterrupted season into him to see what he can really do. I'm a big Sturty fan too.

Man, this team is loaded with players I want to get games into without dropping anybody.

Interesting the whole role thing.
If you had 6 Matthew Pavliches, would you only play 5 plus Banners so you had a different role?
If you had 6 Ballantynes, would you only play 5 plus Kepler for the different role?
At what point do you just play the best available players and model the team play about the relative strengths/weaknesses that brings??
Just asking.

6 Pavliches as Banners is a ball burner

All I know is now I want to see a forward line of 6 Keplers.

Depends on the players and your system. You play whatever you think gives you the best chance of winning.

Freddy for example has attributes that Simpson doesn't, so if you value the role highly, you still pick Freddy even if Simpson is better.

And you can easily fit 6 Pav's into any team.

Yeah, acknowledge that [emoji[emoji6]] is still pretty small for a medium, Emmett was [emoji[emoji6]][emoji6] which is probably the cut off point in my mind. [emoji[emoji6]][emoji6]-[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]] would be my definition of “medium”

I know it’s a long time ago but Dermy was (is) [emoji[emoji6]][emoji6]

I don't mind Narkle as the sub. I think he could have an impact. May take him 4 or 5 weeks in WAFL to get up to speed due to his lack of preseason, but will be a good option later in the season.

A friend who watches Port, says he was in good in the SANFL and can run through the middle.

Maybe a defender light, although Chapman can go back, as can Young.

with 6 Pavs we could field a six man team!

Curious to see where Aish fits into the picture 2025 - started last year as a lock and ended somewhat on the periphery, with a fair bit of young talent trying to crack into the team going forward.

You can add him to the list of people like Walters, Fyfe, O'Meara, Banfield.

I have them all out of the best 22, but I expect we will get 40 plus games out of them this year. (Based on training reports, O'meara and Banfield are ahead of the rest) They all need a good preseason to play round 1, and will be under pressure all year to hold their spot.

I think all are solid depth, when we have injuries.
