This is why a player like Sinclair I think it’s almost a lock. Should be in your team til the end, is a promo and has a good bye (not round 3 nor 12)
Toss up between him and Clark (Freo) for me, Freo's game plan took a shift after the bye last year with an emphasis on moving the ball quickly from defence rather than the sideways chipping they were doing, hence Ryan's drop off, Clark benefitted from that. Sinclair looks to be getting a HB role back again with Phillipou and Macrae taking more mid time. Again, have to be careful with that bye too as there's a good amount of keepers, Clark, Sinclair, Brayshaw, Serong, Young, Darcy, Marshall, Macrae and Phillipou, there's a case for all of them to be in the starting team.

*Edit....Oh yeah, and big **** you to the AFL for rooting up the fixture for the Fantasy formats

After last year where I spent so much time planning and working around the byes I'm tempted to go the complete opposite this year. Last year I avoided guys like Tom Green who went huge early because of his bye and was playing catch up all year. Then over the main byes I somehow slipped behind despite what I thought was detailed planning.

I'm hearing ya!

It's amazing how small amounts of information can change your planning so sufficiently. For example, the sudden arrival of such an accomplished Ruck from the SANFL to StKilda raises more questions than answers, while the fitness (so far) and cost of Darcy at Freo is singing like a siren in an ocean with rocks.

Doing as much reading, just not committing it to any form yet - over 40 days still until Opening Round!

Yeah what I sorta learnt is that dancing around the opening byes didn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, and in the way the byes are structured this year there's less relevant players so you can afford to pick a few

Do we have any freo supporters who can give me an insight on Ersamus? from what I’m reading is that he’s playing mid and been having a good pre season?
Is he best 22?
In my opinion he is borderline 22/23 at the moment and probably will need to show something major in the practice games to get any decent run in the team at the start of the season. He still needs to work on his kicking a lot. Butchers it way too much for AFL standard.

Thanks mate. Looking at him at F5 at the moment, will watch him closely thanks

If he doesnt play opening round then I dont think hes an option with the round 3 bye, especially if Zorko is still back there hogging the ball
That's always looked the likely option - a Round 4/5 pick up maybe

lucky we get a look OR but I’m thinking of going with Doedee instead of Kiddy Coleman. If he can average 60 he could rise about 80k before his bye.
Interesting. I'd been eyeing him off but you're the first person I've seen mention him.

Out goes Coleman and in comes Rivers. Batting deep down back with Mills being my D5 now but I’m not liking anyone below his price point.
I’ve seen you post a bit on this board. What’re your thoughts on Farrell? I’m chopping and changing between him and Burton (I do think Burton presents more value) but not sure if he’s best 22.

I was keen on Farrell however he’s been recovering from hamstring surgery and still isn’t in full training by the sounds of it.

I think he’s missed to much of preseason for me to start with him.

Logan Evans is the other one from Port that has come in and out of my side for that half back role.

Ave 70 off the bat as a mid season draft pick and can only see that increasing now he’s settled into the side.

I don’t like Burton and like a lot of Port supporters, don’t think he should really be in the side. His body is shot.

Thanks for the insight. Had no idea about Farrells surgery so thanks!
Only has to get through six games
Exactly. I’m pretty keen on the idea
