How's Gawn tracking?
Coming off his best season and has a good bye.

Running out of options of I can't have Marshall & Xerri combo, or even Boyd.

Sounds like SDK is extremely likely to be rucking fully agree

Can't see him going under 80 if he does, but he does have a tough draw at the start

But sheesh hard to ignore, although I already have Roberts and Mills so makes things interesting...
If they all score well round 0 you could start them and then trade the worst one round 3 to another guy who is going well that may not be clear right now

Gawn is who I parachuted Marshall too ....I don't expect him to be a season keeper ....however my hope is he'll start on fire

I stay away from this board for a week or so, come back for 5 minutes and suddenly you’re all convincing me to pick Sam De Koning.

That would make two De Konings in the same team, when one was already too many. You’re We’re all degenerates

2 De Koning's does feel like six too many.

Don’t see the need to take the risk on starting SDK.

He has the early rnd 3 bye which if he starts with a bang, is perfect timing to bring him in then. Yeah you might miss out on 75k, however I feel that easily outways the risk of him not playing ruck.
Completely agree but for those of us looking for a replacement for Coleman without messing up our team elsewhere he becomes a tempting starting option.

Watch and see will most likely still be my strategy though.

The alternative view though re SDK is it may be the perfect time to get off him in R3 with the looming Stanley always there

I currently have SDK, Mills and Roberts in my team and I actually feel ok with that, as long as not starting any mid pricers/premos in any other line with that bye (besides Baz)

One replacement that I have not seen anyone talk about yet is Liam Stocker from Saints. Even cheaper than Coleman at $520k and he is looking to be playing full time midfield for Saints so far. Probably taking a bit of the Phillipou role now that he's injured.

How many rookies (defined by price on or below 340k) does everyone have on field ?

And how are they distributed DEF/MID/RUC/FWD

I'm constantly going between 1/2/0/1 and 1/3/0/1. Never been a fan of more than 1 down back or forward.
So really just a question of going 2 mids or 3 mids deep in the middle. (J.Smith and L.Ashcroft on ground then Draper/Langford/Lindsay either M8 or M9)

I'm currently running 2/2/0/1 although I think 1/3/0/1 is a better mix and will probably end up with that.

Given byes run across 2,3,4 and we're best 18 there, going non bye round guns & rooks (not necessarily need non bye rooks) is the way to go I think.
