Trades 2025 Fantasy Round 2 Trades

Annual reminder to only make your trades before Thursday lockout if you had to.

Had a hard time reversing my trades the other day because it involved somebody in the Utility position. Rollback team I think is not available post lockout if any player locked out is in a different spot

Would probably be the only one's I'd target at the moment, apart from rookies.

As the seaosn matures I see the top 6 being Smith, Macrae, Daniel and three of Rankine, Moore, JHF, Simpkin so Moore and JHF will eventually come into calculations (but likely not till closer to the Byes unless either pops a score anytime soon).
Rankine then daylight

Finalyson was putrid defensively on the weekend, gave up too much goals and has defenders to return

no

Imo there are like 4 rookies you want first, SDK for me is only an option if you have to get in a defender because you want to dump Perryman or you had Taylor not in the utility spot and are stuck with getting a defender.

Im Knevitt over SDK, but midfield spots are a bit limited with how deep most went, and the abundance of mid rookies.
Eg if I want Knevitt I have to dump Day or FOS, and id still have Ashcroft or Lindsay on my bench.

SDK could easily be a trade out in 3 weeks time after scoring a 60 vs the Lions and a 50 vs the Dees
My defence is in decent shape + have Friejah and don’t have Taylor or Perryman so there’s no real need for me to get DK in

and his run post this week is a nightmare, Big O, Gawn, ROB, Meek, TDK and Cameron, he’ll likely be smashed in each matchup. I think that’s the bigger issue than him being returned to the backline

Yeah that run is why im not so keen on him, but if you had to get in a defender then hes probably the best option anyway

So I was at work and got stuck with Gruzewski.

What do we think about;
Gruzewski>Hall
O'Sullivan>Lindsay

Or something else?

With a distinct lack of dpp and clogged mid M7 to 10
The Lindsay and Hall are best options
The Perryman gamble vs SDK is viable
Perryman BE 92 v Gruzewski (dropped?) plus Hall with returning players.
Henry & Owens maybe in - Hastie & Clark in the gun - Hall sub?

Yeah fair call. I wouldn't be comfortable getting anyone but Rankine in the FWD line this week. With Macrae, Smith, Daniel already in our side, and JHF dropping a poor score Rnd 1. He's the only one I'd get at the moment. Personally i'll be looking to upgrade my midfield over the early byes as much as I can by bringing rookies on field.

If Hollands fails again i'm thinking Day + Hollands to a rookie and Dunkley next week and then Washcroft to Daicos after Daicos' bye if Waschroft doesn't pop. Defence is set after this weeks trades so only thing that would change those plans is if Sanders continues to be crap in the forward line which may make me go chase Rankine or JHF if he drops a bit of cash.

Would you keep perryman over him then?

Who are we going to in the middle though?

Reckon I’ll just target nailed on top 6 players from the other lines (Rankine) as you won’t need to touch them all year.

Mids are up in the air a bit more. Half are injured and the rest are super unreliable with no value to fall back on.

Rankine, NWM, Holmes etc are all still underpriced so you can’t really lose picking them up now.

Might go aggressive instead:

Sanders > Hall
Ash > NWM

$221k in the bank with the intention of getting Lashcroft next week, because my structure just doesn't really allow it this week.

It’s a bit of a waste of a trade but I was legitimately considering Bray to Dunks as a “fix up” but decided not to but I was very very tempted, considering he’d be the third in line for a tag after Neale and Zorko

Daicos and Neale come to mind

Yeah seems alot of BE's have been changed, i remember Cerra being in the 60s, now 50s.

Still looks like 64 on Footywire?

Hollands or Day out? (For Lindsay, the only way and taking advantage of best 18)
Hmmmm
Day definitely goes next week for me so thinking of jumping early. Thoughts?

Day has a small BE. Will go up again and higher ceiling. If both are going this and next week, stick with the higher ceiling IMO.

No reason to get off Day this week. He's more likely to got 110 than he is 80.

Only reason I'd move him on is if you don't have both Levi and Lindsay, need the space in your midfield and your backline and forwardline's are sound.

Going Hollands down to Lindsay frees me cash to basically get Day to anyone next week or Garcia to Rankine so it looks like a play

Please play dogshit Hollands

He played well last week - his team just don't understand how to use him. Headless Blues.

Listening to podcasts, people seem to be a bit off SDK because of the run coming up; I beg to differ. He should get another good score this week which will again lower his BE and even if he averages 70 in his tough run he will generate a heap of cash in best 18 throughout the byes. We aren’t choosing him to be a keeper, but he’s going to get to around 750k I would say and that’s an easy upgrade. 70 for a defender with a bit of unknown in that line is an easy pick for me tbh

It's easy to be negative sometimes. Would love to see what their trades are eventually this week.
