107 ave vs first 9 at last performance. 122,99,83,94,118,124,120,98,102 is what I calc.
I averaged the GC and Carlton scores (played twice because there isn't the NT game this year in that) - which I admit could be seen a bit loaded to the negative MAYBE, but it did try to take out personal pov's.

122,99,83,94,88,103,120,98,102 - next game is Richmond for 150 and he has the Tiges twice. I had some caveats - it's still 101avg but my comment was it could see him go under 100avg ;)

Could average under 90 too... as he gets weighed down by fat wallet syndrome!

All manner of coulda's prevail this time of year - but that one I'd lay money against ;)

I'm on both and have plenty of cash spare, need a loan?
Sheez and WangMil atm.
Think my biggest issue is i have an expensive bench currently. Allan, Smillie, Lindsay, FOS and Curtin.

With both rucks I can go NWM and McKercher. Short, Mills, Coleman at 3-5 I'm fairly happy with.

You'll be minus Mills & Coleman Rd3 , but I'm sure you can get around that. Allan sounds a safe back up, Smillie you just have to run with at this stage, other all quality and likely starters. Should be good. There's a kiss of death for you :tearsofjoy:

Not going anywhere near Xerri to start the season. Has Gawn, ROB, Grundy and Witts in rounds 2-5. Then Carlton and Port right after that who are typically harder to score against fantasy wise. English R1 might dominate there, but I reckon he starts the season really slowly and you can pick him up much cheaper at round 8-9 when the fixture starts opening up for him.

I would not be surprised if Xerri averages under 100 those first 5 games.

Does anyone have the balls to pull the trigger on Sean Darcy? Apparently in ripping nick, lost a lot of weight and moving well.

How long does he last before breaking again?
He's in my team currently.

Also in mine. Easily a 90-95 guy when fit. The key will be having an exit plan.

Do you think in the derby he will be up against Flynn or Williams? I'm hoping he gets off to a flyer.
Flynn has to get that far first. Either way, Darcy will be the better ruckman on the ground.

one of my first selected

There is no exit plan, just wing it

For real though the exit plan is swap him to Jackson, if Darcy gets injured

It's tempting as you have protection for the first four weeks - can stick the E on him in R1 with a red dot at R2 (Freo play first game Saturday in Round 1), then it's best 18 for Rounds 2-4.

I'd be very nervous of a late out/being subbed or rested in-game in the weeks following that though; you'd have to nail the upgrade of him to Marshall/Xerri at the perfect point before you get in to hot water injury-wise. Just can't see him making it to the mid-season byes without an issue sadly.

He’s definitely been in and out of my side. I’ve listened to some podcasts about him being first one subbed out etc, not sure I completely agree on that as I know how much freo do rate Darcy and his impact.
I’ll be watching him pretty close PS. Apparently he’s looking fit and has the easiest starting run, I would love to hold him til his mid season bye and upgrade him to Xerri after R12.
It’s a tough one. It also allows me to pick Dale as D2 instead of Farrell if I pick Darcy as R2
100k is a lot of money if you’re picking between him or TDK

I think the perfect point is after round 5.
Darcy has Geelong, West Coast and Tigers in his first 5 (the easiest for rucks to score on).
Xerri has hard match ups in his first 5- went sub 100 against four of them last year.

Could see Darcy really upping his average though. Great points per minute. If it weren't for his injuries/fitness he would be a regular 110 guy.
