Argentine ants on the property. Checkout assistant operator at my local Aldi knows a bloke whose son is a painters' apprentice and reckons he was repainting a pickett fence blue and yellow for the property manager when Chad parked in the driveway.
Wrong. I spoke to hase. It’s his mate, was only told it was a private viewing. Checked his cameras and it was Chad.

If CTD is posting then there is a reason for it

If it’s true, just means he’s likely coming home. Was from East Freo so no way would he want to live NOTR, even if he takes the extra 2m contract from the basket case NOTR.

Probably missed the boat in the Perth property market anyway so not sure why he wouldn’t just wait 12 months.

Can also tell you, the club is confident he is coming back, but have no indication as to which club he would choose.

Any particular player in mind?

All of Erasmus, Voss, Worner, Simpson, Murphy fit that list.

But pretend that Erasmus, Voss and Simpson are first picked players by the end of the season, in a very good team. How do you feel about Fremantle losing one of them at the end of 2025?

Those three offer different challenges. Erasmus is out of contract but came with the highest draft investment, Voss as a big marking, scoring tall forward is contracted for another year after 2025, Simpson is the youngest and contracted for two more years after 2025.

I think it’s best you check where West Coast’s training base is before declaring them the team north of the river.

I think if Voss explodes he's the easy answer. NSW kid right? Swans desperate for a key forward and we just drafted Nicholls.

I hope we are absolutely going all in for him.
Not often a player of this level become available to Fremantle
It's like LJ but Chad is actually a proven consistent performer. So far LJ is just potential. But he's a tall so still confident we haven't come close to seeing his absolute best footy.

On face value I don’t think even the biggest Warner fan could disagree with idea that kozzie is obviously the better fit for the club.

The problem I see moving fwd tho (and it’s a major) is firstly , getting a solid commitment from kozzie and his management (especially given his flakiness in trade periods past ) but secondly …and most importantly then being more than reasonably confident Melbourne will actually trade him to begin with

Given they’ve generally been absolute pricks to trade with on the most part anyway but when you add it’s even riskier in their current state as the club hierarchy seems hell bent on holding all of their long term signed guns(eg the big dee three)no matter what ( if for no other reason ) than fear of admission they’ve basically screwed their premiership era

All of which means , as it seems Chad is but assured to return home next year and is OOC….
- does the club go as hard for Chad and risk missing out to WC …knowing kozzie the better fit but also knowing the chance of acquiring him could be taken out of their hands and the club ending up with neither?

would think a Melbourne death ride for 2025 could well be as relevant to fans/Freo management as this years pies/power/saints
to simplify things if nothing else

For Chad Warner I'd ship any of those players off

We prob won't get the Chad

But we sure as hell can make WCE pay significant overs

Anyone but Sydney to win next year. WCE to finish bottom 6.

Plus we need to play finals.

Then there's a bit of do you actually want to win a premiership about it.

Historically I feel clubs have actually been able to convince a lot of players they're going to be good when they clearly aren't but it surely does help to have some objective differences in the current level of success.
