In regards to whether Andy Brayshaw will sign with Freo, his brother Hamish Brayshaw confirmed months ago that he will be a Docker for life.

He was asked again last night on 6PR Wide World of Sports he again confirmed that Andy will be staying and the club and Andy are actively working through how the contract will work and likely to be long term, he and is partner consider Perth home now. I imagine that it is a complex negotiation with the potential arrival of one or two players from other clubs next year.

He also confirmed that Andy was injured (knee) until half way through last year when an injection helped him out. Then, in his opinion, Andy was close to the best player in the comp in the second half of the year. Also not with any bias he has nominated Andy to win the Brownlow and Fremantle to be premiers.

Hopefully this settles a few nerves from some of our more jittery fans

I am comfortable until the bye rounds.

Have a listen at 52:40.

As FreoExtra said, they are negotiating the contract. Have a listen if you like.

I remember when Angus was a FA then the talk from Hamish was a lot less certain. He was almost hinting that Gus could be heading to freo. Listening to him I'd hope that fans can stop stressing about Andy. It's a matter of when not if.

Gus is a lock. Will unretire and sign with us any time now. You'll all see, I'll have my redemption!!!!

This is probably the hold up. Freo trying to get Gus's wage not included in the TPP and he's about to start an offield role with us and become the highest paid Marketing Manager since Daniel Metropolis.

Which club Chad chooses really comes down to what he wants.

Big fat pay - West Coast.

Primed list ready for a crack at a maiden premiership - Us

He wont get chump change if he comes to Freo, he just won't get a godfather offer.
He should be looking at how far away from contending WC are. If he thinks within 3 years it wouldn't be an unreasonable decision. I think apart from overpaying in the trade period they actually drafted really well.

But beyond that I don't want to spend my time assessing their list and it's timeframe, but will pull something out of my earhole and say.....3-10 years.

Probably. Although both his comments on the brothers play well to a local audience.

I do wonder if the ongoing contact from Pickett's management has delayed the finalisation of AB's contract. We might actually be thinking we are a chance for Warner and Pickett (at least from a salary standpoint)
I really can't see any possibility at all of getting Warner and Pickett both in. It's just not even remotely realistic.

Nah, we prefer to give weight to the comments of Fred McGurk or some other WC fan that has heard that he is a certainty to go to St Kilda because of Ross Lyon!!

I mean, what would his brother know?

Yeah, hopefully settle some nerves.

He grew up in Willetton

On SM-G960F using BigFooty.com mobile app

I know a few of the North Freo and East Freo boys have bought up in Palmyra and Bicton, lots of young families in there. Willetton is in the East Freo catchment but it wouldn't surprise me if there are a few Willetton boys that came through East Freo and live around there too. Pretty sure Warner was initially looking in Bicton according to Haselby on the radio so it all makes sense

So elite players should play for less than their true worth while everyone else is paid their full value and some even more?
Doesn’t work like that I’m afraid.

Pav was worth every cent he was paid. If anything he should have been paid a lot more.
Nobody's disputing that bud.

In my head I just always believed Pav stayed for loyalty and the chance to lead the club to it's first flag.

I like to think elite players are driven by success not by the highest bidder. Imagine some anonymous donor offers Harley Reid or Chad Warner $3 million a year deal to play for the Roos or the Saints. You think he'd take it? Not likely to happen, but the analogy is there.

Reliable-ish source.
