Personally I wouldn’t be expecting a huge output and wouldn’t be paying too much. Will be 34yo next year and 15 years and 300 games of AFL footy would beat the absolute shit out of anybody.

One of Liam’s groomsman (possible best man) was Jayden Cass of south Croydon
Would he actually qualify as a 1 point player anywhere? He only started in u15s so probly played 20 games of efl juniors.

He’s been at Montmorency and Sorrento, two of the biggest mercenary clubs in Vic, so clearly he responds to money and doesn’t come cheap.

The Clubs throw the money at him so one can't blame him for taking it. Maybe Vermont has decided to exploit the salary cap loopholes the other clubs are using. I can't blame them either.

Club gets a player who will probably be gone again next year and takes a huge amount out. Other players quite possibly get the shits.
Player gets a (relative) stack of money, has probably played for at least half a dozen clubs by the end of his career, not appreciated or home at any of them.
It’s a way to go about for both parties. It’s up to them I guess, not sure it’s the smartest approach.
Even for a club like Vermont, there is always somebody who will pay more next year, as they found when he left last time.

Vermont wants everything to be seen as above board. I was told if they got busted breaching the salary cap one of the ramifications would be losing their gaming licence. It's all about perception.
