2025 player moves - ins and outs

Looks like the Wooly Jumpers have worked really hard since missing out on Danny Casset. Have they signed anyone else that wasn't playing at Nuna.

Riak has gone to the Swans pick 55.

Yeah just saw that. Heard from a stingrays man that they were hopeful he might go in the pre-season draft or get rookie listed but they didn't really think he would go in this draft so its a great result for the kid.

He was linked to Melbourne Next Gen Academy but they had told him they weren't going to draft him, ironically after they weren't allowed to draft Mac Andrew due to a rule change. Tom Morris had recently suggested Melbourne should list Riak as a category B rookie to try to entice his brother Mac to the club even with his huge contract so Riak being drafted is a surprise to some but its great news.

The add has now been posted again this morning. Obviously a few issues behind it all, which is probably the reason it being taken down last week. Interesting appointment for Croydon North none the less. And this would definitely be the end to Nunawading in 2025 you’d think. 20+ players leaving and now the coach going to other struggling 4th division club. Looks like we could be back to a 7 team comp.

Not just leaving - being poached or moving to other EFNL clubs.

It’s just a merry go round.

Ive got no idea whats going on there but its interesting. Isn't Franks brother the President at Nunawading? The whole thing feels a little bit strange. The post went up, then it went down, now its back up. Is the post about a football manager even needed?

This is hilarious, I have no idea why anyone would want Frank, last two clubs he has been fell to their knees. And even funnier his family members are still there and he looks like to have jumped ship, Just like he did at manningham before they merged with Old Yarra

Unless they have some big things coming, you would have to say Noble Park are in trouble.
Will be a shit fight between them and Berwick for the relegation battle I reckon. Noble have lost majority of there guns, and really haven't recruited much in terms of replacing them

Based on their social media I reckon there’s only six players left from their 2022 flag side.

J Marson
B Marson
McDonnell
Lambert
Fairbank
Tour

And not exactly household names. That is a hell of an exodus in two years.

Noble have just signed Brad Crouch as an Assistant coach. I dont believe he's playing, but very handy to have at the club with his knowledge straight out of AFL

He has retired due to injury and is being paid out his contract, I would assume he was to play for them but it’s one of those situations where he won’t be allowed to legally.

I think swanny had to go through some legal formalities before he could play again as well

I would say they obviously intended for him to play for them and something has got in the way. Many AFL players retire and if they’re keen to coach, walk into an AFL assistant coaching role. Or even a VFL assistant role. To go and become an assistant at local level is a bizarre move.

He would struggle at any level anyway if his knee is properly shot, he played one game last year.
