Really, so both Mannings dictated who they would be drafted to. Archie probably will do the same when his time comes.

So misleading he really want to come back and lead Tennessee to national title the fell just short (needed vols to win bowl over Nebraska and michigan to lose their bowl, michigan won and nebraska smashed tennessee by rushing for 400+ yards in that game) and to try and win the Heisman (finished 2nd behind charles woodson)

The Jets picking 1st didn't really come into it.

Plus pretty sure that draft was Orlando pace draft surest thing at left tackle I have ever seen. Jets traded out twice in that draft so pretty good chance they wouldn’t have draft manning anyways plus still had that sexual assault allegation against him so might have been pushed way down the draft.

The point made in this article undermines the reason for the draft in the first place.

Which is to even up the competition.

Which is that the weaker teams get the better players.

If the writer is correct the League will have to change the draft system.


(BTW Mayfield and the Browns is a poor example to use as he won a playoff game with the Browns, it was when he went Carolina that he looked poor. Lazy writing "let's kick the Browns without checking any facts")

NIL caps are comming in soon, many feel this is then last year they will be uncapped so some are spending crazy money while they can.

But Beck is a day 3/UDFA at best.
