I hope you're right. He's got a way to go to be a top 22 player on last year's form imo.

Maybe…(well actually yes because it was in your opinion! But..)….nobody on here really saw Dempsey break out in 2024 who has had a similar story to Mitch (maybe 2023 VFL for Dempsey was slightly better than Mitch last year but at the end Mitch was in great form)…so these things can change over a pre season.
If we were looking closely to match sims and pre season last year we could see Dempsey coming though so it is probably the next 6 weeks that will give us a clear indication whether Mitch is going to make that leap. I really hope he does

I’ve been banging the VFL door a lot about Clohesy. The added size and power to his never say die attitude and execution could be lethal and in here for all of it

Not to mention Knevitt's been on the list a year longer than Dempsey... so he's effectively two years behind.
If you're referring to my post re Clark's socials, I already clarified that it wasn't his lack of socials, more what he was posting that was the concern.

Except he hasn't been. Both were drafted at the conclusion of 2021.
The bigger point would be Dempsey's unbelievable rise after being plucked from obscurity, where as Knevitt had been in the Falcons system for years through the traditional pathways.

Tend to agree. I feel there's a position for one of them, maybe two at a stretch...but three is a crowd as they say.
It would likely take us shifting Bowes/Guthrie/Atkins to the backline (or them being pushed out of the side) for more than one of the aforementioned three to get significant minutes in the midfield IMO.
Knevitt looks to be clubhouse leader at this stage for an early shot, so we'll wait and see.

Well, I for one have been on Dempsey's case for some time. He clearly had the goods. Quick, good decision-maker, reads the game, has flexibility, and can influence a game. My concern about him was his body. Although he's still not as strong as I'd like he has added some strength. He did blossom quicker than I thought though.
Knevitt is one-paced, doesn't have the flexibility of many other players on the edge, and has been passed by recent list additions. I'd love to see him prosper, but I don't see him as a top-22 player on exposed form. Hope I'm wrong.
I'm looking forward to seeing what Conway and Mullin bring to the table this year.

I'm not sure where. Front half is stacked for quality smalls and while I think we could find room for him in midfield him Clark and atkins (if they all play) is a lot of shorter mids I'm not sure structurally how well the mix would work. I've often wondered if we could make him into the small defender that we need (that's a role that's open). He's dogged enough for it I suppose it's a matter of if he has the speed and foothills. But I do think he's the sort if guy if we give 10-15 games to he will show he's worth it-its a matter of whether that's with us or another club.
