IMO, Williams and Elijah across half forward gives us two real weapons. Add Mots/Durds in the pocket, and our forward line is deadly enough. Just need them to do what we know they are capable of producing.
Spots will be tough. You didn’t mention Fog, and I fully expect a big break out from Moir. There won’t be room for all of them and Kemp beside the big guns.

Footage from today seemed to indicate that Saad was in full training. Only a few seconds of footage but I doubt that anyone with hamstring issues would be doing that push off etc

Yep - with those pieces it'll really be up to the strategy and coaching to make the most of it!
Some great kicking skills in that group along with Charlie too so I hope to see our forward group humming, rather than being a sum of its parts (or worse) thing it's been in the last couple of years!

Soapy V: Do you know how many "extra players" are training for the list spots we have left, and who looks the goods to you so far......?
Durdin Phillips DGB White & Evans are who I have seen. All are training well.
Who will they pick? I honestly have no idea what they’re thinking but there is 5 weeks to go before a decision is needed
I would only assume that one of Durdin or Phillips is likely for at least one spot

That is interesting in itself. Perhaps the club has more faith in Lemmey, O’Keeffe and Kempy than some of the supporters do. Would seem to be enough if they all step up. Depending on the mix, TDK an option, along with Jack Silvagni, so we are not really short in that area of the ground.
Having McMahon signed up for the twos is a bonus for mine. Shapes like an AFL quality player, but not getting opportunity may suggest some flaws in preparation or the like. (Certainly on the light side, diet/gym?) Seems capable on ability, although there have been a series of quite prolific VFL goalkickers who struggle for opportunity at the next level.
There are almost three brackets
Clearly Durdin and Phillips are genuine KPD.
Grainger-Barrass and possibly Carroll fit more as third talls, or though arguably Carroll plays smaller.
White and Evans are both excellent small forward options, unlikely to be stars, but guaranteed to be good, honest workhorses also capable of kicking goals.
Plenty of arguments for and against all players and all brackets.
My head suggests the small forwards are less of a list need, so perhaps up against it. It is a great opportunity to have them integrate with the main group if a mid season opportunity arises, or perhaps next year when most of us expect Orazio to make way.
Get the feeling if Carroll gets through the pre season without a recurrence of his groin issues we will maintain the investment.
Not sure one of the big bopper defenders is essential. Weitering, Young, Haynes, McGovern, O’Farrell developing, Silvagni, and ultimately Kemp remain tall defensive options, while Lemmey and O’Keeffe remain break glass possibilities for mine.
Unless Rob McInness has full faith in Nigel’s body, surely the younger man would be in front for a gig if we go that way.
