Reckon Parker’s probably better value.
Our midfield is really hard to pin down.
If Parker, Powell and WiFi all take time folks like sheezal who play well in other spots may not get the time.
Just a thought at this stage its still very early.

Half tempted to drop sheezal if he's playing hff. Not many mid minutes today
Sheezel's never been in my side .....just too many ????

That's a really hard average to back up with ...given the early avalanche of scores was off HB ....the other aspect is 85% TOG ....LDU also 86% TOG, so yes expect Sheezel to spend some time FWD

According to the track watch article on the superfooty website, Day dominated and hardly left the centre square. Amazing that two people who were at the training session can have such vastly differing views.
No way Day plays forward this year, his our best mid when his fit

May rest forward Bont style but will be 80% mid

McInerney must have been in the other team? Assume he's best 22 when fit though. That right SSwans2011 ?
Fit McInerney would be the first wing selected, unless Gulden moves there full-time which given the training reports might be what is happening. In any case, McInerney is 100% best 22 when fit.

Looks like Coxy has been reading my posts on the Swans board though, that's the exact CBA trio I wanted and the exact changes I wanted (Gulden to wing, Warner to half forward) to make it happen. 😍

Think Gulden to the wing would be a good thing for SC. He'll get less of the football but use it better, probably have more score involvement, and make less errors. Outside suits him way better than inside.

On Roberts - I really like him, but too expensive to start with the early bye IMO. Similar to Ashcroft, I'd be looking at him as an early corrective downgrade/upgrade. Especially with Mills being a must have.

Cleary is worth watching from that team. He will play primarily as a small forward so you might need to he patient with him, but he will get stints in the midfield so will likely get a few spike scores.

I was going to ask about this. Sounds like he's been very impressive since making the move.

Do you reckon he will start in the midfield or play the FWD/MID role?

First full pre-season in a few years, so I could see him getting back to that 100+ average you could almost pencil him in for prior to 2023 (now with the massive added benefit of forward status) with enough midfield time.

North's midfield has been doing fine. That's the shining light in the side.
Surely Sheezel, LDU, Wardlaw, Simpkin and Powell are the main 5?
Phillips would be next in line, but I think he plays VFL. Kerch might get some mid time for his development.
The Simpkin forward experiment didn't work, he was way better last year when he started getting midfield time again, and now he's been made solo captain.
Now you throw Parker into the mix.
So is he the 5th to 7th rotation mid? What's that, like 20-40% CBAs? Is that enough to warrant selection at $344k? 32 years old. Weaker side. Dunno, not for me at this stage, but we'll see.
