We’re at the circle work / driving range stage of proceedings, but it is fun for folks to take a stab at putting their predictions out there, no harm in it.

It is interesting to read some of the early training reports or look at how kids like Philippou in the second half of last season etc.

Reality is, there will be late changes leading up to and after Rd 0, but nothing wrong with letting folks have some fun

l know . R2 is still a work in progress. l will wait until teams are selected before deciding what to do there...Still have $57000 in the kitty...Stanley might br my other option...

Seems to be a lot of Horney selections. I simply don't trust him. He's the ultimate burn man in SuperCoach. A cheaper forward line is definitely the way to go this year.

He's a burn man? When did this happen? He's a #1 pick that's played 65 games in his first 3 seasons. This guy will be one of the best players in the comp soon. He has "I'm about to take the comp by storm and average 120" written all over him.

Even if he averages the same as last year he'll be a top 6 forward, so you're gonna have to bring him in eventually. May as well start him and forget about it.

Boyd from St Kilda will probably score better than Spud Draper.

JHF is always going to be affordable .....his price won't get away from you

That said, PORT's early fixture run is too good to ignore ....and JHF is a strong starter

Could say the same about Sheezel, Bont, Butters etc.

I think the players you mentioned are close to their ceilings score-wise, whereas JHF has levels to go. I believe JHF will be one of the best players in the comp, and be a 120+ averaging SC ultra premo in the future. Whether that's this year or next, I don't know, but I'd bet good money that he adds at least 10 to his average in 2025.

Nope dont trust him and if port lose another forward i can see them having to play him as a forward remember no dixon , marshall

Simplest way to look at it is:
You now get 23 on-field scores, but only 22 count
Doesn't matter who you have in that position, you just need them to play

The only real "strategy" is taking a 3rd ruckman if you believe they score the best.
Maybe picking a riskier player that has higher highs and lower lows (eg. a key forward) is viable now too, because the low score can be off-set
