Possibly Weddle too?
Yeah, weddle could appear anywhere all over the ground. Feel.like they'll let him roam and be versatile

Ramsden is a much better ruck than Chol and Nash, played as a pure ruck for a big chunk of last year in the VFL at a high standard. He has played a big portion forward but his ruck craft is high.
True, but with his history I don't think they'll risk him at this level in that role.

I doubt it’ll be a problem. He’s bulked up a fair amount this off season and looks like a different player. He will likely be the second ruck if he plays, but would start as a KPF first.

The history suggests so and the fact he has done that role in match simulations so far. It’ll be an interesting watch over the practice games.

Concussion doesn't care how much you've bulked up. I'll believe it when I see it on game day.

He won’t play at all if his concussion problems are that severe, it isn’t making an impact on where he plays or his role. He has the talent as a forward and a ruck, so will likely still do it.

From what I've been reading so far this preseason it looks like Chad is already spending a fair bit of time forward.
I though swans problem was lack of small forwards

The games gone past having one good one eh paps.

Cats 22 stegs.mirers.close.
Brisbane had lohma .ah che,rayman.
Pies had a few in 23.

Chad forward makes sense imo.

Posted this in the 2025 pre-season thread, but may as well also put it here - Sheldrick, Cleary and Bice are the 3 to watch. Sheldrick is the main one - most likely to play and best role. Cleary reasonably likely to play, iffy role mainly as a small forward but maybe enough opportunities in the midfield for the occasional spike score. Not sure who Bice replaces, but was one of the best seagulls in the VFL this year.

Dattoli could be get early games, but would be almost exclusively playing as a small forward I suspect.
Yep. Sheldrick for me that's for sure. Hopefully he racks them up for my underperforming spuds.

My current sub 200k in the midfield
Two first year players who rack it up and are well ahead of the pack in the ready to go stakes.
Four mature age who should be set for a run of games if named in round one.

Midfield looking much healthier all of a sudden.

West Coast boys in my eyes are still an injury/sub affected lot.
Erasmus has sub all over him. Rather bring in him on the bubble.

Lombard is interesting. Will likely start him if named. His body screams been in the system for years.

Also Maric and HGarcia in the 200-250k range who i am likely to strongly consider if they get the distibutor/mid roles.

Lombard will play small forward, so his scoring may be poo. But not many players have 2 years in the VFL before they are drafted at 18.

Maric and Garcia will be warm bodies, but do they score well enough to make much money?

I think i read that Lombard had a chance for midfield minutes. I take it that's not the case. If he's small forward, that rules him out.

I believe so.

Garcia will have no issues making the 150k in my opinion. May even start as the third mid after Steele and Macrae. Just waiting on what Ross does in the pre season games.

Maric has the lovely dispoals down pat. Again waiting on the pre season games to see what that looks like.

Lombard at the back of a long queue for mid time. Should get DPP though lol

Do we trust Goodwin if we have excess options?
Dees have a number of very good young wookie or second year players.

Goodwin prob under pressure so interesting who plays.

Maric at WC had a ton in last game talk migh be moved to HB.
