I would suggest Hewett.

He's finding confidence and touch at the level.

When he does, and I reckon he will, I think the ceiling even in his first 'real' year might be a tad higher than Henderson's
Hewett JS rock solid too, if he's fit he plays.

Henderson has to contend with Goodwin's mood swings.

At the moment JHF > Baz, Tsatas > NOD, Flynn > Lindsay. If Baz not playing Day-Wicks > Henderson.

Have to trade Flynn to create a spot for a twelfth mid. Reid, Knevitt, Campo all generating cash.
I traded Flynn last week and already regret it, reckon he's back soon.

You gonna trade Baz in when he's not even on the bubble, a knee injury just before the season that kept him out of the praccy match and was set to miss round 0, and a calf strain after round 1?

Surely you wanna see him get through his 2nd game and be lining up for his 3rd? I'd wary of picking him up altogether, coming back from a long time out, he'll pick up more niggles along the way.

Freijah or Sam de Koning seem like the obvious choices if you want to get rid of Perryman. They're sideways, but at least those 2 will average better over the short-term and make you some coin.
I could move SDK to defence (currently Flex). And bring in Cerra. But it leaves me with only 1.3k.

Oops. Didn't see SDK sitting there in flex.

I'm not huge on Cerra given his injury history, but that's not a bad move, really. May as well spend the money if it betters your team. You have a lot of rookies cooking that'll earn you more money over the coming weeks to worry too much about having only $1.3k left over.

If you can, hold on to Flynn.
He won't be far off, depending on how things play out, might even be back this week.
A lot of us who moved him on did so reluctantly, a playing first ruck at a starting price in the 200's is generally a licence to print money

B Smith apparently trained some yesterday away from the main group, didn't train today.
Might be fine, but keep an eye on it. Can wait a week in theory anyway, price won't rise if he plays
Edit: stevebbb had mentioned already

While I completely agree with you as to who has the better JS, what's the go with Mannagh? Not on the injury list and didn't even make the emergencies. Would seem to indicate Ted may be in front of him at the moment.

I seem to recall Martin being earmarked to play half-back as well, so Clohesy might be safe from Martin's return as well.

Fitness missed whole pre season first game back. You will find they hold him over for the Melbourne game and play him then (travel and 6 day breaks a factor). Clohesy is going to have to shoot the lights out because of the forward line logjam we have whereas osullivan probably plays every game for the rest of the year unless his body needs to be rested (like de koning in 2022).

Reckon this is good advice for folks that can carry him and let it play out. More a question of when than if

too many scenarios. some other thoughts will help me out here please.
Trading out Short would be the only change I'd make. He isn't going to hit premo heights in my opinion.

Short > Freijah and pocket the extra cash? Short-term move, but still, better than hanging onto a $440k player that won't do much better than 80-85 avg
