The guy I would look to nab is Max Ramsden from Hawthorn. He was a mid season pick. A forward/ruckman. I think he has a lot of potential.

I like him too but do we need him as we got Steene and Smit?

I think at this point Condon shouldn’t be at the front of mind in forward planning. It sounds like he’ll probably stay another 12 months in the US at a minimum if he doesn’t get drafted this year.

At moment be a Shock IF Condon came back so Club should plan like he is not coming back

If the other 2 come on as ruckman, he can always play forward. Cox is almost done. If we want to play Cameron and another tall forward who also can ruck, then it may be too early for the other 2 kids.

Also, what happens if Cameron goes down?

Anyway, just a thought for the future and being a mid season pick, he wouldn’t cost anything once out of contract.

They don’t need to take it to the draft. They can trade it for a player or trade it for a future pick

A few people mentioning Aleer from GWS as a target. Is this just because he’s a position of need and was a first round draft pick? Or has anyone watched him in the VFL? Had a look at his stats and they don’t leap off the page…

I wouldn’t offer him more than $700k for 3 maybe 4 max.

It’s not a position we need to over invest such resources in.

I’m not sure we actually know what Maynard is chasing from us, only what Norf has allegedly offered. We’re supposedly paying Houston about $850k so based on that, $750k seems reasonable for Maynard given their respective resumes. And obviously 6 years should be out of the question for a 29 year old.

At the end of the day it’s up to the club to convince him that it will be more beneficial for him to remain a Collingwood player long term than grab the extra cash up front at Norf.

Highly unlikely they get 3 years out of Maynard. Our offer should be around $800-$850k for three years.

I think about 800k for 4 years. He is extremely durable. First in his draft year to get to 200 games.
