Won't get near the Brownlow (or top 5 for that matter) but he's an absolute gun.

I remember a year or two ago comparing him in playing style and potentially ability to Scott Pendlebury and getting massacred by opposition supporters who still saw him as a soft**** that wouldn't take the next step. He's tracking pretty well at the moment. If Heppell continues to improve his kicking and decision making, nothing stopping him from becoming a top 5 mid in the league.

20 goals
23 behinds
37 goal assists

That's not to bad, considering how little he has played forward of centre.

Jesus, is that right?

That's unreal for - as you say - a guy that's played 90% midfield, 10% back (earlier in the year).

For his career yep. That's at least one direct score involvement per game over his career. (Not including scoring chains he is apart of)

Can't help but wonder what award he'll pick up this year. He's done so since the TAC.

Heppell emerging as a genuine star will profoundly impact our team...both he and the skip can turn a game so who do you go to? Heppell is comfortably now the additional A-grader that we needed to take heat off Jobe.

Put too much attention into both and the improved Zaka and Myers get off the chain and you have the experienced BJ and Chappy as well. Just a blisteringly quick outside mid away from one of the best midfields in the comp.
