Suspending a player for games is a stupid way to go. Hand out a financial penalty and impose some charity work or a course to be completed, something along those lines and then leave the legal system to handle it from there.

Making a player miss games for a non football incident hurts the whole team and its supporters who pay to see the best side we can field each week.

The club would be following advice. Get ahead of the court hearing and try and avoid a conviction.

Yeah probably but I still don’t like the club derailing their plans for the good of one man. A substantial financial penalty and donation along with a firm commitment to education/training would play well enough in court. It’s not like the guy has a history of violence. The 4 game ban could have been avoided. A judge wouldn’t expect any other business to stand down their employee under similar circumstances.

In country towns, you get admitted to a hospital for a laceration. I had 6 stiches recently, needed a local anesthetic, any hospital record keeping is thoroughly thorough.

Never had a broken rib myself, do they need x rays? You can count the number of ribs broken. If so, there's a doctors/nurses record and painkillers given.


Balta's criminal charge is "assault causing body harm" ~ doesn't matter if there's broken ribs too.

In court the police might read out the full details of the melee and the injuries then.

Club didn't suspend Marlion, but chose to suspend Noah for a month. Last year we fought over if he should be forward or backl as he was our best option for both roles - now we start the year with him unable to play either & he is 100% fit and ready.

Club wouldn't suspend him for a month because "he had chances to leave, but stayed". What trash. And if true - why the fk is the club acting so inconsistently between Marlion (who could & definitely should have broken ties with the filth he is associating with - literally a pedo), then suspended Noah for a month.
