#23: James “Jordan Jones” Jordon. Farewell.

Matt Jones isn't too dissimilar to K Mcintosh at the Tiges. Could see Jones getting a game at peak Tiges running up and down the MCG and just handing it to dusty. But I love trying to shoe-horn garbage Dees from years gone by into successful teams.

Jack Grimes could have been Vlastuin at the Tiges prove me wrong

21 yrs old and just racked up his 40th game in a high performance team.

Has a good head on his shoulders and will develop into a solid 187cm mid.

Does anyone see this guy as future captain material say 5+ yrs down the track?

I reckon he stays on the wing.
Captain a long way off so who knows.

Not sure he's got the personality for it.

Lever is our next captain. Impossible to say after that.

Doesn’t scream captain to me but maybe in the James McDonald/van Berlo/Geary style understated captain. Could have stronger leaders around though.

I had thought so too but I actually reckon Brayshaw is more likely now

I reckon the #7 that was doing it last night begs to differ..

On Jordon, he is criminally underrated by not only Melbourne supporters but the competition.

He's still got a few weaknesses to work on but that's easy when you're still 21years of age and averaging 22 disposals per game on a wing mind you.

His work rate is elite.

This is a bit of a moot point as I think Gawn will be captain until he retires which could be ages away. Viney is the perfact Vice Captain imo. Leads from the front on field but don't know he has the tact or nuance to lead players off-field as much. We've got the best of both worlds with Gawn, on-field excellence combined with the perfect personality.

I reckon TK must be banned from the site at the moment cos otherwise I’m sure he’d be praising JJ in this thread after his past few weeks

Didn't he get banned then came back for like a day before being banned again? 😂

Seems more like the quiet achiever, role player type than captain material to me. He's definitely improved this year, less panicking and dump kicking. His work rate was great last year too but his fumbling and poor ball use would often undo lots of his good work. Still has a way to go but some big strides being made in recent weeks.
