He has always reminded me of a young Alby Rodda, and now I see where the real correlation lies.

Was a very vivid moment because he was taken a few picks after Rowbottom in the 2018 draft who IIRC played for the same TAC club as JJ in Oakleigh. Rowbottom probably one of my favourite young players over the last couple of years so good to see JJ who’s had a bit of a slow start nail him in a big moment in the game when most of the good stuff he’s done this year has been out of the central actionMr undefeated. Just getting better with each game. What a tackle too

Esp when he was mostly quiet in the second half, huge way to get involved in the play and for it to actually matter.I put this tackle for JJ up there with Riv running back against the flight spoil against the tigs, as my two favorite "well done young fella" moments of 2021
Only watched the last qtr, but 23 disposals and 8 tackles on the stat sheet and he was solid in the 4th qtr when the game was absolutely on the line. You know it’s his debut season, yeah? What benchmark are you holding him to?Jordan was pretty crap again for mine. He supposed to be in the side as a point of difference with his disposal but it was pretty terrible all night. Great run down tackle but he needs to work on his core strength.
I don't really care about his disposal numbers or stats in general. Just the eye test. Don't see it.Only watched the last qtr, but 23 disposals and 8 tackles on the stat sheet and he was solid in the 4th qtr when the game was absolutely on the line. Delist then?I don't really care about his disposal numbers or stats in general. Just the eye test. Don't see it.
Nah but I'd think we could find something better in the draft in the next couple years. 90% of our side is settled and picks it self.Delist then?
JJ is just a placeholder in our first three flag sides until Bowey/Laurie/Rosman replace him (and Melk/Gus) for flags 4-6Nah but I'd think we could find something better in the draft in the next couple years. 90% of our side is settled and picks it self.
Honestly they should give him some time on the wing. If he's as good at making decisions as they say get him into some space then.JJ is just a placeholder in our first three flag sides until Bowey/Laurie/Rosman replace him (and Melk/Gus) for flags 4-6
Imagine being that bad at your job?Proper Gander please change name in thread title to Jordan Jones.
Wrong.Jordan was pretty crap again for mine. He supposed to be in the side as a point of difference with his disposal but it was pretty terrible all night. Great run down tackle but he needs to work on his core strength.
Let’s hope he is Selwood 2.0 when it comes to win/loss ratio.James Jordon is undefeated. Sign him up for 10 years please..
Why hasn't he had a 7 year offer put in front of him. When was the last time a player won his first 8 games? Probably going back 50/60 yesrs for a Dees player..Let’s hope he is Selwood 2.0 when it comes to win/loss ratio.
Jordan Lewis and Liam Shiels. They'd each get 25-30 touches but you'd see them once or twice a game. A lot of similarities to the GOATKinda reminds me of Liam Shiels. Have much higher profile midfielders around them, they both look and play in a fairly generic style, they get numbers in the low 20s, but they tackle a lot and play an important role.
Taken at the same point in the draft too (pick 33/34).
