Feel like these types of pick ups can make immediate impact, e.g. Paddy McCartin, JJ etc. All he has to do is play his role of locking down small/medium players and anything extra is perfect

Good boy, from the scrap heap to a debut opening round for the mighty bloods. He will have a plenty of work to do as well shutting down the hawks show pony's. Go get em lad play well.
I remember being a little surprised that the Saints had got rid of them - he was far from their worst in an area where they weren't overburdened with talent (especially with Battle out the door). Doesn't appear to have put a wrong since he's got here, so you wonder what happened at the Saints.

Small defenders are funny, because they kinda become fan favourites and successful by barely being sighted on the footy field. It means they've done their job.
