It does feel watching it that the tide of frees is going against us. I like it better when you don't notice the umpires, and don't think about them during a game, but these ones (Margetts) have been absolute dipshits the last couple of games. This also includes the wider issue of them being overly whistle-happy when players enter the protected space.

Need umpires with no obvious bias.. margetts. They should be full time umpires. Need to have clear cut lines about the rules. No grey areas left up to intepretation, like the shocking calls on deliberate OOB. As you said let play go free a little, put the whistle away a bit.

Just watching the replay. Stringer is important, and on multiple occasions was the first in to congratulate a teammate who had kicked a goal. Also, when he was kicking them earlier in the game, he was the one beckoning for others to come to him. This is the kind of stuff that gets that little bit extra out of everyone. Great to see from a man who is clearly loving his footy right now. Infectious - /tongue out.gif

How do you do 'a bit' of ramadan? Skip lunch one day?

He’s been getting up at dawn and turning to Mecca with a bit of meditation on the front lawn.

Expanding his horizons in the quest for enlightenment.

Praise be Jakey.

I think he is building very nicely as the season progresses, certainly performing better than I expected. Three consecutive games of 3 goals and i think he has kicked 3 goals or more on 5 occasions.

Is it just me or does he look bigger now than at the start of the season? If he slims down over the next pre-season then lookout.

I don't think he's lost size, put it that way; but I also feel he is actually moving better now. I reckon he might be fitter than he was three months ago.

Definitely seems to be doing the team stuff to a better standard, shepherded through about 3 on the line on Saturday, gave a couple off, escorted the ball out in the forward pocket instead of going for the miracle inside out overhead torpedo to lock the ball in the front half.

It's not something you really associate with someone like Stringer but he's a seriously clever footballer

I've watched that replay a few times now and he is doing things he never did before we got him such as 1 percenters, second efforts and encouraging his team mates like an elder statesman at times... Lol IKR... :)

Stringer used to wait for everything to be given to him once his stock garnered fame and became very individualized on his efforts... If it didnt pan out for him on his first efforts he'd simply give up and at times seemed baffled on just what to do next if his magic wasn't working... I can certainly see why the Dogs lost it with him in 2016/2017...

He seems to be thriving on his comradery with us and able to block out noise which is actually really pleasing because he was stuggling for a bit i felt at the public lynchings of his private life which could of gone very bad for him mentally and performance wise... There are a few examples of other clubs rolling the dice on players with extreme talent but questionable attitude that got badly burned...

We've done very well here as a club tapping his potential by providing him a decent haven i feel...

Also he's made for a big club and large audiences... Those downtown goals at capacity crowds are sick...

Finally, he seems in on the joke to troll Norf and thats just beautiful in my books :)... The melting at the shot clock fiasco is second to none...

Am i the only one who likes that he looks a bit fat? And a criminal?

He deliberately shaped that goal he kicked from the boundary in the 2nd qtr - a perfect fade, in golfing terms. No doubt in my mind, you could tell by the way he dropped the footy.

Absolutely took the piss
