Very much so, held the place together with a huge show of faith when he didn’t have to and probably shouldn’t have and for all the players out there that people claim can play both ends he’s the only one that has actually done it and done it to a very high standard. Literally learned how to run again so he could have a career and get over hamstring issues.

McCarten didn’t. He was playing on Hookers replacement. Did take a few intercept marks though .

More so saying that taking Hooker out didn't really fix the issue like some thought or hoped it would.

We probably missed his ability to just flat out not get out marked more than any forward pressure a replacement could have bought.

I could cop it if he was dropped for a rest but omitting him because he can't help us any more is premature IMO, yesterday showed that

Just because it was ordinary replacing ordinary does not make a difference IMO . Would rather see Francis for a few weeks and then something different next year if that does not work.
Hooker is not part of the next generation and we need to find the new pieces that are the next 5 to 10 years.
Yesterday showed our forward system needs work and it will need new or improved players.
Hooks is done.
 
The forwardline does look a bit more dynamic in it's current form
 
If we make finals does hooker play. Could be a few awesome weeks of a send off if we are up and about. This guy has bled for us. What do we a owe him. He's been one of my favourite players over the last 50 yearrs

only if there is a matchup we can exploit.

Love chook but 2MP’s form and If Harrison Jones is 100% then it’s a no brainer and chook misses.
 
There are positives for both him in and out of the F50

* Yesterday and last week showed we could be competent without him there
* Finals footy is a big game for mature bodies - now we're looking a bit better when the ball hits the deck, his pack breaking ability and reduction of a double team on 2MP could be of real benefit. No smashed packs from Harry so far at this stage of his career and 2MP is bruise free.
