Beggin' you to touch and go

It’s Dow or never
Would've kept Cumbers over Dow .... but get amongst it now young fella ....
MehSuck it up princess he’s a tiger.
Has grown from 182 cm to now 184 cm according to club website listings
We don't need Thomson Dow.Creative hands.
We’ll need them
Hopper needs to lift his game. His kicking for goal was pretty crap this year
Reckon he goes alright next year. Has quick hands but poor execution skills wise.. think this can be either amended or made redundant if he's given the job of finding the ball inside only.
Will ultimately be overtaken by the younger boys coming through but I have a feeling we'll need him if for nothing else other than rotation.
That's wishful thinking, or me 12 months ago. When we drafted Dow the club was very open in saying he was a long term prospect and would take time.
Of course he js running out of time and if 2025 is like 2024 he will be delisted. But fact remains most players really find their feet at 50-games, and Dow has only played 34.
Our midfield needs a player of his type … smaller mid, agile and with quick hands.
I’ve seen really good glimpses albeit way too rare (he’s even taken a few quality contested marks showing strong hands).
I’ve not lost all hope with Dow. He’s got enough attributes to make it, he just needs a huge shot of self confidence that he belongs.

Even if he had 30 possessions they would be irrelevant. He can’t kick. He can only just make 40 metres. No penetration. Panic handballs. Not an AFL player in a good team. That's wishful thinking, or me 12 months ago.
He showed his limitations last season. He has some good attributes, movement and quick hands, but he regressed last year, always hoping it would suddenly click.
I also mentioned on here at the end of '23 when he played some good football late in the year, that he needed to come back 3-4 kg's heavier, he didn't. Nor has he come back noticeably bigger this. His brother was much the same. Saw him play a bit of Paddy as a 16-17 year old and he was strong and bigger than a lot of the others, but it seems he has gotten not much bigger after 6 years of football.
Would be something very unusual if suddenly it all clicked and besides he has not been sighted much if at all on the track according to PRE so starting behind the 8 ball in a year when the young kids are busting a gut does not bode well.
As I said, had his chance and came up short. I think he's a little better than your assessment, but won't mean much either way you'd think.Even if he had 30 possessions they would be irrelevant. He can’t kick. He can only just make 40 metres. No penetration. Panic handballs. Not an AFL player in a good team.
I don't necessarily disagree, however we've had a very poor track record on the fitness front these last few years. Hopefully the new conditioning bloke we've picked up from Geelong might get some size into him (aswell as blokes like sonsie, Hugo etc)How is going to be given the job of finding inside ball only when he is still a string bean who gets brushed off by his opponents like it's men vs a kid? If you watched who he lined up on a generally they were BOG or close to it. 15 touches and 2 tackles a game despite being in the CBA constantly.
Was given unlimited opportunities. I would go as far as to say he might've been the luckiest player in the AFL last year with the opportunities given. 18 games with sky high CBA usage while a guy like Kane McAuliffe (or even Sonsie) sat in the VFL.
Nonetheless, he's still on the list. I would be trying to stack weight on him as last chance saloon. He's at least 5-6kg underweight for starters. And not enough close to fit enough for a midfielder. But he's been the system a long time so much very much doubt that happens
