No dispute. But he should be considered for a forward berth in the AA team given his score impact from limited time forward. They have excluded him from consideration as a forward because he plays midfield as well, and excluded him from consideration as a mid because he plays forward as well. Then they pick a clearly inferior forward in Rozee in the forward line who has played almost exclusively in the midfield, and pick Charlie Cameron who is not as good a forward as Shai as a small forward.

So my comment was about AA selection, not about where Shai should play for us.

AA selection is ...

This kid is going to be the difference between whether this club plays finals or not.

A fresh Shai is a whirlwind of speed, flair, and skill.

Playing 80/20% fwd/mid he will most likely have 80-90 shots at goal. If he finds composure when he needs it most he could become a champion.

Fingers crossed that this is the year where Shai turns a season on for the ages.

Going by the practice match he’s gone to super elite level

I am so excited for Shai this year. He seems more mature each year. If we play well and feed him he could tear the comp apart. Share Charles with Dusty - first ever for one club I think

Shai was in second gear and decided to have 20 odd and 5. He also was passing up some chances to try and bring Maurice into the game. Probably low key knows his good mate is on his last legs.

Could go to another level again this year which is scary!

He looks like he's just messing around with the other players, then decides to hit he afterburners every once in a while. Hope that is realistic, cause we might have the best player in the AFL going around this year.

Well equal best if Dusty has got his mojo back

He was insanely good last year but his goal kicking was horrible. If he'd kicked just a little straighter, his season would have been off the charts.

2024, he can easily be the best small forward in the game or the most damaging mid forward of centre.

hope he gets up the ground. love his ability to turn a fairly congested area into open space and a great kick to advantage

Cant believe he's paying $101 for the Brownlow. Surely worth a small punt as he will no doubt have a purple patch at some stage and his odds crunch a bit
I got him $120 on Betfair week ago and $200 for Coleman

His ball handling is next level
