I dont want to be negative but I think we've seen that steele is not ready to be captain. I know its only one game but today he really struggled, but he also hung his head at times.

Hes a young big mid whos had a fantastic season so hes got time but I feel hes not ready yet.

Big shoes to fill with gearys performance and leadership today

I don't mind, all our main players were out of it. Obviously Steele can't have a monster game every week . Now he is due for one. Bye Bye Richmond.

Well it's not Geary next year, so who is a better fit than Steele?

Hes finally involved (instrumental) in a winning final and he can’t play in the next one.

I don't like to pot fellow Saints supporters. Really. But those that said Sinclair should be dropped? Had a really good game. Not a dominator, but an important cog in the wheel. Some nice touches. 6 contested possessions. Probably covered a lot of territory. 85% efficiency. 83 SC points. Did his job nicely.

Before the season started, Membrey was looking like the next captain.

Did no harm to his chances tonight.
 
So where the AFL used to put up the Stats during the game and leave them up afterwards.
I think i now have them.
If correct ( and there is doubt, because hell, they are odd stats ), our biggest ball winners were
Disposals: Hannebery and Howard 20. Vs 5 Dogs who had 20 or more. then we had Clark at 19, and Ross, Membrey, Steel and Jones with 16.
Contested Possessions were lead by Daniel , Smith and Liber, we had Geary , Carlisle , and Steele with 8. Then Ryder, Sinclair, Marshall, and Jones with 7.
Jones won the most clearances in the game .
Maybe it was contested marks won it for us, King and Geary both matching Naughton's 4 , Paddy and Jake taking 3 each.

Next min something freakish happens against us . I started getting text message saying well played then I knew we were trouble.
