Exactly cake. You need depth, but let’s not forget he was AA in 2021. He played 23 games that year, and we really need him back to that standard. He’s 28 this year so he has plenty of good years ahead of him.

The six year deal not looking good. If he can’t get his body right then we can’t play him, can’t trade him and it’ll cost plenty to pay him out given 6 year contract term.

I don’t understand why 6 year contracts have become a thing - injuries are such a big factor in footy so there is a lot of risk (to club) that comes with them. Giving one to a bloke in his late 20’s seemed particularly odd.
