He has been ordinary after a breathtaking opening to the year. Really hope he can rediscover his early season form in the last few rounds.

xactly, not sure why excuses are being made, has has really struggled since round 2-3. There's a couple of other Cat veterans that clearly have regressed this year as well so should be no surprise. Doesn't deserve a game atm. Thought Kavanagh did more last week. Zach should have clearly started ahead of him. Maybe use Chappy as a sub like doggies use Gia.

On AFL 360 tonight Gerard Whateley said Chappy will hang the boot up at the end of the year.

Did anyone see this? Was this Whateley opinion or good oil?

left or right?

With the revolving door of mids and forwards, it's hard to properly judge anyone's contribution across most games.

That said, having set his own EFC benchmark in the opening rounds, Chappy has fallen significantly short of those since. He seems off the pace for substantial midfield minutes, and can be seen floating at times alone between wing and half-forward.

From here on in, he ought to be used more sparingly in midfield, and more across half forward. Averaging four tackles a game, 20 and a goal (inflated goals from early rounds) but the contribution presently is not massive.

Not giving us anything atm. I'd rather be playing one of the younger guys running around in the VFL to be honest.
Really struggling.
Not sure we need him next year, as we aren't challenging for any flag soon.

wasnt prolific but won a fair few crucial contests particularly in the last, doing enough for mine but want to see him more forward.

I'd rather have the ball in Chappy's hands than Melksham's...any day of the week.

Seriously ridiculous if he goes for that. They both went back and forth with cheap ones and the free could have gone either way depending on when the umpire finally grew some balls to make the call. Chappy even thought he was getting the free.

Paul Chapman reported by umpire McInerney for striking Robbie Gray in the first quarter, what's peoples thoughts will he go?

Hopefully he gets off. But who knows with the ''roll of the dice'' tribunal decisions they dish out.

Maybe the MRP will give him some leniency now he's at a different club.
