We are building a dynasty dude
For three sucking decades. How the suck do we do this? People use the cliche' he won't cost us much. How naive are they as he's cost a look at the next possible young gun and his development for another year. Conca's market value from 2013 ihad come down to zero. Not even Brisbane would want him .the RFC are now locked into the Wheel of Misfortune bc they're playing the wrong game
It's a bloody nightmare and thank God for the Spring carnival so I have some sporting interest in life.

Dont tell me dude, i think you are well aware of the deluded ones in here. They just dont get how they are being taken for a ride. They really believe that we couldnt afford to lose a Conca because that would short circuit our planned tilt at the top...bwwaahhaaahhaaaa...**** me, like David Kind stated the next Jimmy Bartels, I mean these David King dudes are the "experts" right?

There is nothing wrong with Conca's ability to play AFL at a high level. Yeah OK we overpaid but he's still good. Sadly it seems there is something wrong with Conca's capacity to do.

Even if you're the best player in the world, it doesn't mean much unless you can consistently play. Obviously Conca is no Ablett or Fyfe but they've all been out injured and all the teams haven't performed well. Does that mean they should get rid of Ablett and Fyfe? Well sure Fyfe if he's coming to us but otherwise the answer is no.

I really just want Conca fit. If he can't be fit then get him contributing in some other capacity. He can still add improvement to our team, whether he's on the field or not.

But the club shouldn't sit still about it. We need to think about bringing players in that can contribute what Conca does without the injury concerns. Not every player can be top shelf.

Great. A chance to turnover a broken one, and we hold on again.

Our club is like a smashed tea-pot that we just keep trying to glue back the same pieces together time and time again, convincing ourselves it won't leak. We've often got the wrong piece, we keep finding new pieces that aren't any good, and the pieces we have that look ok we try and glue where they're clearly not supposed to go. We currently have a handle and a spout that are in perfect working order, but the bulk of it is a mess.

This analogy doesn't even make sense. Thanks again Tiges, making me sound insane.

Dr Dr, understand dude, now understand this, if Conca was an Ablett or Fyfe, i would be keeping him for 10 games a year, The fact that he cant string together games, coupled with his relative impact on the game, puts him into a category where we have seen a trillion of the same types come and go over the stretch...just a plodder who's only claim to fame is that some failed recruiter picked him at 6. FFS, the dude had a shot at a kid from behind when he had a go at the GWS kid who was going off, wtf was that all about and that aint the type of citizen i want playing for us...dud delist!! The ****ing end!!

I think we will get a trade done, either packaged up or if we had to a late pick. Can't see him being there
balme said hes staying today

Fact is with you lot, the club is damned if they do, and damned if they don't.

- If Conca leaves, the narrative becomes "it's another high pick Richmond has wasted, and we got peanuts back for him... sack Dimma, Benny, and Peggy."
- If Conca stays, the narrative becomes "he's a list clogger, why don't we get rid of him already! ... sack Dimma, Benny, and Peggy."

Nothing the club does will EVER satisfy some of you, so what's the point of even engaging in conversation with you? It's completely pointless, because regardless of whether the decision is good or bad, the negative aspects of anything to do with the club will always be your focus. :drunk:

Constructive criticism, with the thought and mindset of wanting the club to improve and get better is absolutely fantastic, and is critical to our future success. But some of the stuff I see on here is absolutely putrid and self-defeating.

I'm not here to name and shame, but you know who you are. Pull your heads in people...

I'm not sure I know what you mean...

haha I agree that at this stage it doesn't look as though we will get a change of board.
But with Balmey & new assistants coming in, that hopefully have a big say in everything like trading, drafting, game plan, fitness, preseason, standards.

If all the above do change, then I would hope that might fix a lot does and doesn't happen on the field.

Re Conca, if nothing good is being offered & if he can stay fit, he is good for us.
I don't think too many here would have had an issue with his 2013 form.

A Massive improvement in trading, drafting, game plan, fitness, preseason, standards, games won, winning finals would go a long way to satisfying me :p:p:p.

Do you work in a managerial capacity ReaperX?

Well I'm a flower sniffing, fanboi, mediocrity craving xxxxwit. But I reckon the kid can play.
Understand the risk with injury but I'll take that risk over a pick 55 snotty nosed kid right now.
If he breaks down...I'll look silly. If he doesn't you blokes won't be bumping this post to congratulate me, so who gives a xxxx?
