Whats not to love about the bloke?!
drinking froffies mid week possibly.

i don't have an issue with having a beer, but its a snowball effect.
you're meant to be in recovery, most clubs have a no drinking in recovery rule. as i said, i don't have an issue, but if he somehow doesn't get back soon, or if he plays poorly, someone will link the imaginary dots, and the pressure will build. all of a sudden a parma pot and a bet turns into "lobby alcoholic gambler doesn't take footy seriously" "didn't do his recovery properly, was out drinking froffies".

could care less about the media, but wouldn't be good for his confidence.
don't jump down my throat, because im not saying thats how he is, I'm saying its a fine line, especially when you can't let your footy do the talking.

I'm an ordinary bloke like most Australians , but I'm not paid big bucks by the RFC to play afl football just like most Australians aren't . Nobody cares about Reece's personal life. It's more his professional football life
This what is pear shaped ATM and his other habits outside football seem to take precedence. Watch the video of when he was reported last year for his dog act it told me two things
1 mind not right and not on the job
2 studying his body it reminded me of Garfield
Love the guy, but he's at the crossroads as we e picked up some good kids this year and if we do again next year with a couple of FA then he may struggle to get a gig
This is the realty not the smoke screen we get on forums of how great he is at cuddling team mates

Absolutely your not paid the big bucks to play afl. So you wouldn't know what it takes to be a professional athlete. General public only see 1 side of things.
You wouldn't know what Reece is going thru. There are so many highs and lows during your career, so many emotions and set backs. Now I'm not saying it's right for him to be drinking while injured. But maybe it's an escape for him? Having a few beers and a little punt maybe gets his mind of things for a bit. Ever thought of it that way? Public perception is that he is boozer and bad pro becoz he is seen at a pub. I'm sure he is working his balls off during the day at training.

Didn't say I knew what he was going through and couldn't give a damn
As I said he's paid the bucks to play afl footbAll and this is where my interests lie with him
Don't give a damn about the drinking and punting rubbish unless it's affecting his temperament and game. By the way you're going on then it could be a problem. I quoted an incident which showed two weaknesses in him and I want to see him turn into a professional afl footballer like a Cotchin or Lids type for example where they are in the publics eyes doing positive role model things
Compare Brandon Ellis to Conca and you will see they're light years apart in the way they approach their profession

You definatly make some good points.
I was just pointing out the fact that not every player is the same. Also just becoz they get paid good coin doesn't mean they have no emotion or feelings. Don't think it's fair to judge Reece after he was seen at a pub. I think Reece has a massive upside to him, but of course he needs to put the work in and start playing to his potential.

TigerImposter lay off the psychobabble analysis.
It's just rumour-mongering of the lowest order.
You're giving Reece a pasting because he's unfortunate enough to be in your locale and you've seen him drinking beer, eating food and having a punt. Guess what...lots of other players do exactly the same. They're just lucky enough not to live near guys that think they have a right to snitch and bitch about their personal lives.

I Haven't given him a pasteing so be fair. I've just weighed up his attitude against where a professional footballer should be at
against a nice bloke. As I said I love the bloke , but I'd love the bloke to rip it up in our firsts bc he's got the gifts
I can tell your more stories about Chris Yarran if you want
It's reality that they have personal lives , but the public and media spotlight is what also comes with being a sports star

Mate, you seem like a pretty good guy. I think you should lay off posting about Reece's private life and show him some respect. Whether or not you choose to do it is your call.

I havent said anything harsh so relax spud. The club knows about it anyway so relax and I will too;)

Conca either needs to play in the 1's this year or seek a trade.

Needs to get the most out of his ability and at the moment isn't.

I do not care about his personal life but if it impacts on the continued success of the RFC then something has to change.
