If he gets a full pre-Season I’ll be very excited about what his potential 2018 may look like.

I really wanna see him progress from what he produced in the VFL finals to a more consistent and bigger impact across a VFL game. If turns 20-22 possession games into 28-30 he should create a lot of headaches for the selection committee.

Menadue is in a similar boat.

Agree needs to accumulate more of the pill and the only way he does that is building his tank and playing more midfield time. Has been over taken by Graham who has had his own injury concerns and is in his first year. Club will be patient with him but next year needs to start showing more improvement

Too inconsistent, might struggle to make it, Graham, Markov and Short are all better options..
Ellis is one player I'm not worried about at all. Don't look at stat sheets. He is going to do very well for us

He's the kind of player that doesn't have to do much stats-wise to have a big impact, a bit like Deledio in that sense.

Love his decision-making and disposal and can't wait for him to have a real crack at it, still rate him highly

Hoping Aurora can break into the team next year. I’ve not liked him since first laying eyes on him. Felt he just jogged around the joint and offered nothing. I saw him in a few VFL games this year though and looks a class above (so does Batchelor too though, so... ya know).

Bigger tank and a bit of mad dog Morris’ campaigner rubbing off on him and he should be fine

Aurora is a genius nickname.

Same, he has oozed class at times, reminds me a little of Leon Cameron with his disposal - yeah it's not consistent but I do get a little excited with anticipation when he gets the ball. One of my least concerns too.

I have not made a decision on Ellis yet , At times he looks amazing and other times he looks like an average B grade player, He played extremely well in the VFL finals but yet to see that level or even close to it at AFL.

Will give him 2018 to show what he has and after a good preseason im hoping he is as special as some are predicting but im a bit more hopefull now than i was 6 months ago

He's 21. Tracking absolutely perfectly given the ankle injuries he's had.

You'll no doubt find similar criticisms in Cotchin's early days. On this one, just let go of your inhibitions and back the kid, trust me.

the lad can seriously kick the aggot and is beautifully skilled.

really hope he can get some continuity in his training, which will hopefully mean his output and impact at afl level increases

Very few players on our list who are more clean

Never fumbles below his knees or needs two grabs

Im with DrMike on this, not worried at all

Cotchin was averaging 25 odd possessions and 6 clearances at the same age. I think that comparison is a stretch.

I hope your right and the kid has a break out year in 2018

We knew he was going to be a slow burn when he got drafted, considering the injuries he has had on top of that, I think he's going alright.

Started to really dominate the VFL in the second half of the year and really start to show us what he can offer us at AFL level. He's one of our cleanest players and one of our best kicks, they are things you can't teach. If he can put the rest of his game together he has the potential to be very good given the aforementioned, and he started doing that in the back end of the year. With another full pre-season under his belt, he's absolutely the number one break out contender for next year.

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Was big on Corey at the start of the year and watched him closely in games early in the season when the VFL side struggled and he was given run with roles which some disagreed with. It was all part of his development, run with some of the VFLs best midfielders and learn when and where to run to have a greater impact. Not only that but he learnt defensive accountability which is a strong part of our game plan.

I see Corey as a long term Houli or Grigg replacement. His clean ball handling, ability to find time and space and foot skills will be more than handy coming off half back as Houlis replacement, while those same skills would make him an ideal Grigg replacement in the midfield rotation as a hard running link up winger with better defensive ability.
