Yep. Playing with both shoulder strapped and has simply been beaten down as the year has gone on. Is now avoiding body contact.

Tex does have a rookie contract next year so you would think he is safe enough but who knows 100%.

He is a good kick just lacking the confidence to execute at the top level which is understandable

I would just park him for now. Keep him in a solid training block but give the body a chance to recover. He really has nothing to prove at this stage.

You can tell he's not quite ready for AFL level footy but I think having a player like him - quick and creative at ground level - is great for our structure. I'd persist with him, if his fitness is up to it.

Wasn't terrible had a few iffy moments but I wouldn't be opposed to giving him a string of games in the AFL.

Do not mind giving him a go but as you mentioned he is a bit gun shy as far as contact goes . He ran up to a lot of blokes and then put the brakes on.
At least his kicking was not totally horrible.
