Bloody hell im hurting after the game but I had to get on here to credit this fella.

Arch is playing the role we have lacked for so long and the faith in him from the coaching staff is a credit to his commitment.

Anyone who has doubted his spot has been proven wrong over the last month.

He has the one thing we lacked for about 3 years up to the end of May this year - absolute desire.

Now the team seems to have it; because it’s contagious.

And that’s why a trait like that is invaluable in a footballer.

It’s what makes a very good footballer like Wardlaw next level, and an ok footballer like Archer capable of contributing so strongly to a team as he did today.

I had a suspicion when we drafted him that he'd be on the list for 2 years then be playing country footy somewhere - and I'm so happy to be wrong. He's a genuine AFL-level defender.

Sat behind the goals city end, had a great view.

2 mins to go I told my 16yr old daughter: "now you know what it felt like watching Glenn Archer".

You can't teach intensity and intent. He has every bit of both like his old man.

Absolutely love him.
My son is 26, only remembers Arch Sr a little bit. I said tonight, after the game: "that was how Glenn played his whole career." Jacko is so much a chip off the old block it's not funny.

I just got a buzz from shouting "Go Arch" through the night. Spent many nights at the G back in the day shouting and feeling the same thing.

Picked him to bounce back and he destroyed Fritsch.

Last week would have hurt him and that was a great response.

Not just the tackling and spoils, the intercept marking too.

Give him the number 11 now. Winding back the clock 25 years tonight.

Dare I say: one of our top half a dozen players this game. By the last quarter, when I saw the ball head towards him in a contest, my heart rate decreased. There’s only 5 current north players that make me feel that way.

True, in that sense he's becoming the anti-McDonald.
